It had almost been a week since the group of six had started staying at Connor Quinn's house. Sure, it was uncomfortable in a small cabin with some of them sleeping on the floor but it was better than some of their previous sleeping arrangements. After so long of moving from place to place, all of them were uneasy with the idea of staying in one spot. The anxiety of Maverick coming back to throw them in cold cells where they couldn't escape again haunted them all. So they decided to leave. The last thing a single one of them wanted to do was bring violence into Connor's home.
Once they had gotten their stuff together, Val asked Lyra and Zeke for one favour before they left. In the early hours of the morning, before they were set to leave that night, the three of them snuck to a tall building resembling a church. "Did I ever tell you I had to be home schooled when I was 14?" Val gazed up at the old, stone tower.
"No? Why?" Lyra glanced at the church and then back at Val.
"Did you get kicked out or something?" Zeke added.
The researcher shook her head. "I dropped out." she reached into her coat pocket and grabbed a few vials of different dyes. "Those guys were assholes. I'm here to... even the score, so to speak." she smirked as she described the teaching standards of the church and the plan of action.
The other two looked at each other then back at the researcher before getting a certain gleam in their eyes that could only be described as malicious. They shared out the dyes and slammed open the heavy doors of the church. A priest was already inside reading some sort of book aloud to a small group of people in formal clothing. All three of them spread out to different corners of the long aisle and started smashing the vials against different walls, benches and Val even took the time to grab a balloon filled with coloured water out of her coat pocket and chucked them at a few very targeted individuals - staining the expensive dresses and the priest's robes.
When they got back to the cabin, slightly covered in various purples, reds and greens, they were met with confused stares and Atlan's persistent questions.
