A temprate glow flows through your body, from the tip of your nose to the tips of your toes. Relishing in its toasty warmth that was never too hot nor ever too cold, no matter which way you adjusted. Your sole attention is on how good your skin feels.
The delicate scent of rosemary lifts your senses, jasmine weaving into the air.
Comfort bound, the prescence of someone’s accompaniment gently awakes you from your luxury.
Casts of pink clouds fill the sky above, twinges of gold surfacing through, highlighting its soft edges. Adorning beaneath your figure are those same clouds. Plush as you sink into its serenity, filling every divot of your form for support.
“Such a cute thing you are,” a gentle voice speaks.
Tilting your head just a bit further up from where you lay, the owner of such a sweet voice is made clear.
“-Aphrodite,” you whisper. Her soft laughter follows not far behind your statement.
The glow of her hair reflecting off the pink of her skin. Tinges of pinks blending in with a silk flow. Her voice brings your thoughts back to center.
“So Ares gave his medallion to you? I figured he’d give it to the yellow one.” Tilting her head, she holds the gold between her fingers.
“He didn’t exactly give it to me -”
“So the yellow one did?” The bright whites of her eyes twinkle brighter for a moment. Holding the metal closer to herself, she giggles in glee.
Sitting up properly, you adust your position so that the medallion that is currently still wrapped around your neck being held in Aphrodite’s hand sits more comfortably.
“Uh…yeah, just for a bit” Looking down to the medallion, a smile brightens your features.
Feeling it thud against your chest comfortably, Aphrodite leans back into a fall, having her thoughts trail away from the object. A materialized cloud catches her slow descent. “Isn’t that him?”
Just a bit away behind, a confused Sunspot is taking in his surroundings.
“No way,” you mutter, “Did you bring him here?”
Shaking her head, Aphrodite replies, “This is your dream love,”
“My dream?” Looking back at Sunspot, your astonishment conitnues, “Is that really him? Like, is this some kind of mind merge?”
Shrugging, she leans over to mutter, “Don’t look now, but I think he saw us.”
Breaking out in a cold sweat, you don’t dare to look back. Dreams were known for being weird, a space to process whatever happened in one’s day. Not to mention whatever weird subconcious thoughts and feelings that might manifest, demanding to be sorted.
A jolt runs through you as a tap on the shoulder announces Sunspot’s attention.
“Hi, Sunspot…” Turning to look at him, your nerves do not calm down.
“This place is pretty cool,” he signs. “could use something exciting, though.”
Taking a seat next to you, he doesn’t acknowledge the god in front of you.
“You here on your own?” You ask, looking at Aphrodite for some form of gaudience.
“Yeah, but I guess it’s a good thing,” His mannerism become tentative with the way his posture slacks just a bit.
“If this is a dream, anything can happen after all, we can uh…”
“Imagine an underwater adventure,” a few floating fish began to populate the space around the two.
Pushing away a gobby, you interject,-“I don’t think that’s the best idea, but what about something simple! Like um…”Shooting onto your feet, you cotinue, “Having dream food!”
“Dream food?” Sunspot provides a raised eyebrow.
“Dream food will be some of the best food you will ever have.”
Standing on his feet, Sunspot gives it a thought,”Entice me,”
“A good pastry never goes wrong, like a cream cheese danish” The appearance of once calms your nerves, looking at Aphrodite for some form approval.
Giving an overacted wink followed by the ‘ok’ sign, you couldn’t tell if she was being genuine or not. Being the goddess of love, harmony and…other things, she wouldn’t let you make a complete fool of yourself
You hope.
Swiping the danish from your hand, it disappears just as quickly as it appeared - within one bite.
Stars adorn Sunspot’s eyes from the moment the taste hits his palate.
Ego swelling with pride this imaginary round is won by you. Not that you, or anyone for the matter, was keeping track.
“What if we ran a bakery?” Sunspot signs.
“Now we’re talking.” A quant little bakery shop pops up near where you stand. The scent of baked goods traveling through. “We make this a whole neighborhood, actually.”
Homes beging to populate around the area, and little shops in tangent. Taking Aphrodite up into the sky with her cloud, now viewing what will unfold within her domain.
“There needs to be a park,” you hum, “Like the one I went to all the time as a kid.”
Talking a step forward, the ground reshapes into the familiar step of the man-made playground. A set of swings appearing, followed by a slide and other playground staples.
An earnest expression following Sunspot as he trails your familiar excitement.
“Maybe in the night, with a beautiful starry sky.” Like a painters brush the sky dimmed, glittering dots of an array of colors.
All you could do is stand as you take in the vastness of the sight. Stopping in your tracks of wherever your feet were going. The splashes of gems within their dark cave, greeting a visitor who is none smaller than the finest spot of sand waiting to become a pearl. To shine as they do.
“-That’s home…”
