"I have to show you where I'm from!" Exclaims Sunspot, taking both of your hands in his.
"Wait..!" The little town that was built rushes behind you as the vast sky above is no longer so far away. A stillness settling just as quickly as the rush began. Ground lacking familiarity for there is none. You are a floating figure in an inky scape that somehow is able to stand in a semblance of proper form.
Your knees wobbled, muscles tense as your body tries to ground itself.
"I forgot how good no gravity can feel," levitating through without a care Sunpot's jacket fills the majority of his silhouette. Not much of a difference from down on earth, just accentuated all the more.
"How am I suppose to move?" You ask, or rather you would if your voice was able to travel at all.
Sunspot perks up, "We're almost here, this is the outskirts." easily making his way to you he takes his place in holding your hand.
Your stomach churned in a sensation as when an elevator lifts to it's required floor. Grabbing the collar of his hood his attention is brought back down to you.
Tapping your throat you attempt to convey again. A spark of realization in the form of an exclamation mark shines above Sunspot's head.
You always wondered how that can happen.
"Sorry, should have told you about that," He taps his chin, "Do you know any sign language? Clearly you understand me but how much can you sign."
Your pointer finger and thumb pinch together, leaving some room to indicate a very small amount.
Nodding he says, "that's alright, we can get by with just yes and no. I can always read your lips if things get complicated."
Pulling you close so your form is within the comfort of his jacket, the churn in your stomach begins once again.
A momentary discomfort as clusters of colorful stars take over the empty spaces in-between. Dust in hues you never thought it could come in, not without an artificial dye of some sort with its vibrant purples and blues.
Much less did you expect to see a scattering of floating islands. Homes built of clay, lanterns made of sheer material floating in no direction. Streams of water falling off the edges of a few islands, sparks of color intertwined within its drops. A luminescent glow beckoning you for a sip for what could be the most rejuvenating liquid that could exist.
"I would jump from that waterfall to the water below as a kid." Sunspot points out, taking a step ahead. "That was pretty crazy of me."
' You still are now,' Reads Sunspot
Looking down you note the solid dirt the two of you stand on. Glad to see something you can be familiar with.
You wonder is this how Sunspot felt when he first landed.
"Don't forget charming," he flashes a smile, looping his arm into yours. With no effort he jumps up onto the following isle taking you in tow.
A pink blur meets the corner of your vision, reminding you of how this even started in the first place.
Feet meeting ground again, your body twists to double check on the visitor.
There was none.
"What are you trying to see?" Sunspot quints in the direction you're facing.
'Nothing,' you communicate by shaking your head.
A silent laugh catches you off gaurd, a sparkle in Sunspot's eyes.
"Your hair is a mess right now," He runs his fingers through patches of hair running about. Evening the surface to his best capability with your hair texture.
'This is just a dream,' you think inwardly as a mild panic rises up. The action intimate as you thank him.
"Your eyes are lovely y'know,"
There was no fighting the smile presenting itself on your features.
Medallion with a soft glow his eyes flicker down to see the results of his actions.
"You look like you have something to say,"
'well, yes, but...' no movement of your hands could translate what you wanted. The lacking of your voice frustrating you by the second.
" You're a little dense..." You give him a look as the little glow of the medallion fades,"The answer is yes,"
Attention perking so does the medallion in its glow, brighter than before. Confusion and curiosity with utmost hope as he answers a question unsaid.
Something seemed familiar about this situation...
Was he getting closer?
Were your eyes getting heavy?
This is just a dream, no way this is actually Sunspot. Started by the god Aphrodite, a reflection of the past and sorting the subconscious.
Bodies growing close, faces no more than an inch away.
A pleasant burn fills your chest.
You could only have one question in mind-
