"Nic, Crystal is-,"

"I don't care Michael." I spun around dropping my clutch on the table next to my sofa shaking my head facing him and holding my hands out "she isn't my main concern." I spoke clearly and quietly letting him lock our hands together and pull me closer. "Whatever she was to you isn't my concern, not right now not ever."

"God you're so good to me." He muttered in disbelief making me smile,

"Plus we have more important things to deal with."

"You don't have to go."

"Don't, don't even bother to change my mind Michael. I want to go." I would be lying if I didn't say Crystals words hadn't been running around in my mind taunting me and wanting answers.

'why was daddy dearest killed?' It's the one thing I've wanted to find out for my family's sake and I knew Michael and the boys were no where near closer then when they started out. And if she could tell me...

Dread filled me as I thought over what it could mean, my life could be changed and what if he was somehow connected to this world. My whole life I know and love would be a lie. Could I of dragged him into it? Looking to the side though and seeing Michael lounging on my sofa made me not dread it anymore. This was what was needed in my otherwise boring life.

I weren't destined to just be a reporter in this life not anymore. Not since literally bumping into these Australians, my life was flipped upside down and I knew whatever Crystal or Unbroken spilled; wouldn't change that.

"You ok?" Michael glanced over at me momentarily pausing his abuse on my remote of flicking channels on the tv trying to find something decent to watch.

"Fucking peachy," I smiled skipping over to him and slotting my body perfectly under his arm that was awaiting me. This is definitely where I was meant to be.

A text-tone cut through the silence we had found comfort in making me sigh and lean to grab my discarded bag, pressing against Michael pulling it out my bag. "Everyone always wants me."I joked unlocking it straight away as it was Kensies text tone, only ever really used in emergencies to quickly get a message to me as we tend to just phone.

Blood ran cold as I froze rereading her words to make sure I read it right the first time; I did. I pushed away from Michael reading it for the third time, the words didn't change and they won't.

"You have to go!" I blurted out in a panic shooting up and towards his belongings shoving them in the drawer by my door to hide them. "Now Michael," I added seeing he weren't even attempting to move his body off the sofa.

"Nicky calm down what's going on?" He spoke slowly sending me into more of a panic.

"Why can't you see something happening? Shit you got to go." I felt myself on the edge of tears as he just stared at me making me feel helpless. Kensie words running through my mind. "Alex and Morgan are here." I yelled making time freeze as he just stared at me opened mouthed as if he wanted to respond but nothing was leaving his throat. He was trapped and overthinking everything as his hands shook.

There was no reason for them to be here in this building, they never came here. Never had ties to come here to even try and grab a member. Kensie had told me she has seen the duo walking into the building in full police gear as she was leaving the cafe across the road making her instantly message me. They only wear police gear if they are after someone.

"Please," I knew it was too late they could be a few floor down by now with how long it's took for him to move. I didn't know what made them come here and that scared me, even more than the fact I know they will come in guns blazing and shoot whoever's in there was and stop them... especially when they are on a mission.

"Nicky. I'll be fine." He finally stood up and walked over to me pulling him tightly into his arms. I was loathing the fact he was seemingly just accepting this is what's happening. We don't even know who they are here for.

We soon got our answer as the door was swung open banging loudly off the wall behind it. No. Please don't. It was as if my head was underwater as Alex stepped forward forcing Michael from me and down to the floor, voices all muffled and barely being processed in my mind.

"Michael Clifford you're under arrest for the murder if Margaret Hood. You have the right to stay silent, anything you say and do can be used against you in court," handcuffs were next and locked around his pale wrists as they held his hands against his back.

"Alex!" I yelled finding my voice and making Morgan look at me,

"Stay out of this Nicky." He muttered sadly before puffing his chest and pulling Michael off the floor shoving him to another officer. I watched as his knees buckled with the force he was sent with and I knew he could fight against them, he just never did. My heart ached as I watched them forcefully remove him from the room making it feel so much emptier than it was.

Scrambling for my phone I gripped the device including it almost instantly and pulling up Luke's name.

"Nicky?"

"They took him." I sobbed breathing heavy and grasping as my shirt where my heart lays beneath. "They dragged him out, they arrested him Luke."

"Nicky slow down before you send yourself into a panic. What's going on?"

"Morgan and Alex!"

"Repeat that."

"Morgan and Alex took Michael Luke. Arrested him for the murder of Margaret. I-,"

"Breathe Nicky. Take a deep breath and think over your words." My newfound rock had been dragged away willingly by my own family. They hadn't even really spared a second glance at me as I begged and begged for them to let him go. I had muttered and begged all over them talking reading him his rights and what he can and can't do. Court date, bail, just everything I've heard them say to complete strangers to me, never someone close to me.

"They think he killed Margaret Luke. They must of found his prints or something there," it was the only logical explanation as to why he was connected to that. "The killer would have covered their tracks but if Michael was called there and touched stuff his prints would be on the door," I gasped feeling myself get worked back up again after just calming down.

"We will sort it out Nicky don't worry, we have to money to bail him out and clear his name." Luke spoke making sure the words set into my mind "go and have a rest it's been a hectic day."

"Love you Luke." I muttered hearing him say the words back before I hung up throwing my head back. The questions that would be sent my way from both Alex and Morgan as to why I was with Michael and in 'his' place. And I don't think I'm prepared for that yet.
