Now that they weren't fighting each other, everyone got a better look at their new companions. Cato was a green skinned merman with long, blue dreadlocks that were tied into a bun apart from a small section in the front. He wore a black tank top which showed off his scales under a bandana decorated with stars. His left eyebrow was pierced with two golden hoops with a short scar sitting above them.

Marcus, the centaur, had dark skin and fluffy black hair. His neatly kept goatee could've been easily overlooked by the large burn scar that almost covered the left side of his face and stopped just below his eye. The centaur's ears were pierced three times by the lobes by gold studs which clashed with his black and silver armour that rested on his shoulder.

The snowy owl, Noelle, had their white hair cut short with charcoal undertones - similar to their wings. Just above their wide, yellow eyes, a claw mark cut through Noelle's right eyebrow. Their clothing was fit for the winter with an aviator's jacket and high collared, purple shirt.

Then came Alex, the bright flamingo avian. At first glance, he had the most piercings out of his group with gold spikes on either side of the bridge of his nose as well as another set below his lip. He had dark, knowing eyes as well as braided light pink hair that was neatly tied back. He clearly had a sense for sticking to a colour palette as his clothing was predominately white and pink.

Calliope was a tough, resilient demon with oil black eyes - same for her hair that was cut just above her chin - which went nicely with her dark purple horns. Anyone with a brain could tell you she was moulded for fighting due to her bulky arms and lightweight armour across her chest.

Finally, there was Zara. The yellow mermaid with pierced cheeks and cunning blue eyes. A long scar stretched over the left side of her face from her forehead down to below her cheekbones. Her long auburn hair was tied back into a ponytail and would often - much to her annoyance - get caught on her black necklace. "I'm tempted to just buzz it at this point." she would often say whilst trying to untangle the mess of hair and metal.

The trip to the docks was an unexpected one at best. The new group had previously stated that they were actually stationed on the mage island and were just visiting the demon territory to look for any new recruits. "We weren't expecting this many only a few days into our trip." Cato joked; earning a small chuckle from Noelle.

"We weren't really expecting anyone at all on this trip." Celeste replied seeming to be quickly adjusting to the new faces.

"Or shelter..." added Theo - his gratefulness plastered on his face as he squeezed Zeke's hand briefly. "I don't know what we would've done without your help," although the mage was eternally thankful for their help, his gaze would tend to avoid Cato during conversations. It was clear to the five who knew him that the previous incident with the merman holding an arrow to his boyfriend's throat was not forgotten even if it was forgiven.

"Of course," Marcus' deep voice chirped up. "We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we just walked away."

Alex, the flamingo, nodded before adding. "Say, how long have you all been running from Maverick?" the question made the six of them almost stop dead in their tracks. None of them had actually thought about it... "We don't actually know..." Atlan said quietly, the realization sending a strange feeling through him. "Val, do you know?" she shrugged. "Lyra?" the demon tried again.

"Nothing here, boss."

"Theo, Zeke?" Celeste asked this time.

Zeke shook his head atop Marcus and Theo just gave an estimate. "Well, I think I've been with you guys for at least a month or two. As for before you guys found me, no clue."
