Chapter 4

Danny POV

Eventually, Ashlynn calmed down enough for me to pick her up and carry her to my bedroom. She was still in my arms, not because she was crying still, but because I wasn't ready to let her go. As I sat on my bed with her in my arms my bedroom door swung open. "Danny!" Brook yelled barging into my room. "What?" My growl roared through the house. I couldn't control my wolf's anger about her yelling at me and barging into my room, interrupting my time with my mate. At the sound of Brooks voice Ashlynn tensed and hid her face more in my chest. "Baby, relax everything is all right." I cooed to Ashlynn, completely ignoring Brook. Ashlynn picked her head up and wiped her eyes. "I'm sorry, I lost control over my emotions." She said while looking into my eyes. Her eyes held all the pain and rejection she felt. I could see she was trying to hide all her emotions like she had done for years, but she couldn't. "Angel, don't be sorry. Everyone has the right to cry and express there emotions." She nodded before sliding off my lap. "I'm going to take a shower." "Okay, I think I have some work to do, so I'll be down the hall when you get out. If you can't find me, Conner will probably still be eating." She nodded before running out of the room to the bathroom.

I didn't turn my attention to Brook until the lock on the bathroom clicked. "What the hell could you possibly want?" "Is that her?" She asked not answering my question. "Her as in my mate, yes. That's her." "She's seems... awkward." "And you seem like a b!tch." Conner was standing at the door with his arms crossed glaring at Brook. It was no secret that the two hated each other. Manly because Conner says what's on his mind, and it wasn't usually nice things going through his head. "Conner, why are being all defensive for her? It's not like she's your mate." "No, she's not, but she's the future Luna. Plus, Danny would have said the same thing if I didn't." That wasn't much of a lie, I was thinking similar things, just a little more mean. "Conner did you need something?" "No, I needed to see Ashlynn. Her brother called. Well he said he was her bother, but it was Tanner. I've known his for years, and never once as he said anything about having an older sister, especially her. Don't you think that's something he should have brought up?" "No, he wouldn't have. What did he say?" "Something about needing to talk to her and tell her that her mother is freaking out and he is struggling trying to keep the secret hidden. What ever that means?"

Secret? What secret could he be talking about? Then it occured to me Ashlynn was there family secret. Her being her daughter shouldn't be kept a secret! Her mother should be proud that her daughter is so beautiful and amazing! My blood boiled at the words. I knew Tanner was trying to warn Ashlynn, but I was pissed at him. Actually I was pissed at everyone and newly determined to find her father. "That freaking B!tch." Anger was pouring from me, I wasn't surprised when my words come out as a growl. "Danny what is it?" Ashlynn called from the bathroom. "Nothing sweetie. Conner and I are going to be down the hall at the door strait down the hall. Come down there when your done." "Okay." With that I bolted out of my room and headed straight to my office. My foot steps thundered through the house altering everyone to my uncontrolled state. I threw opened the office door, almost breaking the hinges and stormed to my chair.

"Conner, call Dave and your father. Tell them I need to see them." The order rolled off my tongue before I noticed I was saying it. "Of course, but Danny will you tell me what happened?" "When your off the phone." Conner didn't say anything else before taking out is cell phone and finding the people I told him to. Waisting no time I went on the computer looking for possible people. Dave, my God father, sent me the names of all the people that was in Ashlynns pack for the last twenty years, last night. That was what we were talking about when he come to my room last night. It wasn't why he got it for me, but it surely came in handy. Not to many people left the pack. I narrowed it down to ten males. Two of the ten being Conners father, Wilson, and Dave. I already knew that though. They were brothers and found out that their mates were in my fathers pack. Being the fact that they were both good friends with my father they moved to their mates pack and become the beta and third in command for my father.
