Chapter 11
Danny POV
Ashlynn was so beautiful while sleeping. She looked like a peaceful angel laying against the window of my car. It was only six thirty in the afternoon and I could see how warn out she looked. It was sure a long day with everything that has happened. Her beautiful gold wolf surprising and completely changing everything. I went from not believing Tanner this morning that she had the first female wolf, then everything turned upside down. She came out to be exactly who Tanner said and after I found out I almost lost her wolf and my beautiful Ashlynn. Dave got the necklace back and her beautiful life is back to being safe, but I couldn't stop the feeling that it truly wasn't.
Something deep inside me kept telling me to be cautious. She has a special wolf and had necklace that can perform amazing gifts. That doesn't just survive without someone going after all that power. As soon as it comes out, I knew our new goal was going to be to protect her with everything we could. The first step in that was to call the one person I would put my life and mates life in the hands of.
"Prince Andrews office how may I help you?" A lady answered the phone. I rolled my eyes at the formal interdiction. To me Andrew has always been Andrew my irritating older cousin. Yes, that does make royal, but it's not something I admit willingly."I need to talk to Andrew." "Excuse me, but he is the Prince of Werewolfs and you should treat him as such." "Sue, it's Danny . Just give Andrew the phone." I have always refused to be formal with him, because technically I was a Prince to, just one that kept distance between him and the tittle. Sue grumbled something before passing the call to his line.
"Hello?" He answered. "Andrew, I need your help." Was the first words out of my mouth. "Why what happened?" My long lasting childhood friend and cousin asked. He once was close to Conner and Brandon as well, but I was the only one that kept in contact with him. "Well, I found my mate." "Congratulations, but why do you need help?" "Very long story short, she's Dave's daughter, that he didn't know about." "I'm not following, where the problem comes in." "She has the wolf." "Wait, the first female wolf?" Andrews voice sounded surprised and excited. "Yeah, Andrew I'm so scared. I can't think about losing her and I know once it comes out all hell is going to brake loose. The necklace got taken today, Andrew I completely lost my mind. I'm still freaking out and She is safe with it." "Danny, if she's your mate. Then your wolf has to be the wolf of Prince Casper." "Probably, but I don't care about that. I need to protect her." My voice came out louder then I intended to, causing Ashlynn to stir.
"Danny, is everything okay?" Ashlynn asked drowsily. "Yeah, beautiful everything is fine." With that she nodded her head before leaning it back against the window, letting sleep take over again. "Danny, I'll be there tomorrow." Andrew pulled my thoughts away from my sleeping Angel to the phone. "Wait, your coming here?" "Yeah, I need to meet the very person that can make my ruthless younger cousin, sweet and panicked." "Umm...okay. I have a game and a meeting at three tomorrow. I'll ask my dad to pick you up." "Okay, I'm going to go rearrange everything, and tell my father." "Sure, see you tomorrow." I hung up the phone as we pulled into the driveway. "Danny, who was that?" Ashlynn was fully wake looking at me. "Oh, just my cousin. He'll be here tomorrow. He's excited about meeting you." "Oh..." her voice quieted down to not audible. "He will love you. He's like Brandon and Conner." "So obnoxious and nosy?" "Hit the nail right on the head." "Great, exactly what we need."She rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, I know. Let's go inside and enjoy the alone time as it last. Maybe watch a few movies and order pizza?" "Sounds like a perfect first date." She said casually sliding out of the truck. First date? What, this wasn't a date. It was hanging out with friends and my mate. Did she expect to go on a date? I was being such a jerk. I claimed her as my mate and then brought her to my house. I didn't once think about the relationship aspect about going on dates. "Ah...no. This isn't a first date, love. That's on Saturday." I tried to make it sound that it was planned all along, but the way she raised her eyebrows showed she knew I was lying. "Okay, so it wasn't going to be, but I don't want our first date to be lame." "It's not I want this to be it. Hanging out alone, watching movies cuddling in bed and with pizza. That sounds like the best first date ever." "Really, that sounds sort of boring." "No, it's perfect." "Fine." I gave up reluctantly as we walked into the house."Baby, go change into pajamas and if you want take a shower. I'll order pizza and get the movie." She nodded before she began running up the stairs.
