Chapter 8
Ashlynn POV
"She is your what?" Some girl in the back asked. Danny sighed and ran his hand through his hair realizing his mistake. "My Mate. Ashlynn is John, the sub Alpha from the Sanguinem pack district, step daughter." He revealed with another sigh. It was obvious this wasn't how he wanted this to go at all. "Then why did both Brandon and Tanner call her their sister?" A skater looking guy asked. "Umm..." Danny looked at me unsure of what to say. We hadn't talked about if we wanted to explain everything. We should have known that questions were going to come up. "Because She's my daughter. Now, no more questions!" Dave's voice roared through the field. It held so much authority that was questioning who would dare to go against him.
Question's still floated through the air, but not directly to anyone that would know the answers. Danny and I turned to go talk to our fathers. "Next person to ask a question about this will be facing me. Now start the training!" Danny wasn't taking any of their talking and questions. I could see his fuse burning fast and his anger grow more and more. Everyone stopped speaking and started shifting and training. "Well, that went great." I commented sarcastically as we approached them. "It could have gone worst, but I'm sorry Angel I should have controlled myself. You looked so absolutely beautiful though, I couldn't really think straight." Danny said bringing his neck down and lightly kissing my neck from standing behind me. My face heated up to an unbelievable shade of red. It felt great, but I was standing directly in front of our fathers. I mean yeah I just met my father, but it was still absolutely embarrassing. "Danny?" "Yes, Angel." He continued kissing and lost in his own world. I knew I had absolutely no chance of getting him to stop and pay attention.
"Why did you need to talk to us?" I asked trying my best to ignore Danny. I knew that he needed to do something to keep his wolf relaxed and that seemed like the only way he could. "Well, actually we sort of wanted to see your wolf and how you were doing with not shifting for two years." said Stan. They both looked like they were quite concerned with the condition of my wolf. "No." Danny pulled away from my neck to look at them. His voice was strong with determination and anger. That through them both off completely. Their eyes grew wide and I could practically see the wheels in their heads turning. "What do you mean No?" "No, you can't see her wolf." His voice was definite. I couldn't help but look up at him amazed at his sudden change. "Why?" "Because I said no." He shot right back at his father.
"Because you said no? Danny do I not get a say in this?" I raised an eyebrow looking up at him. "Baby, please trust me on this one. I'll explain later." "I know you have some reasoning in that thick skull of yours, but if no one can see me shift that means I have to sit here. I'm really sick of being told what I can and can't do." I had no problem going head to head with him about this. Usually I would, but it was my wolf fighting for it. She was tired of being invisible. "You can go in the woods with me. I understand, but trust me I'm only controlling because I want to protect you." By this time I pulled away from his grasp to fully look at him. It was hard to be mad or argue with him when he was holding me. "Protect me! Danny it's my freaking father! How in anyway is or why would he bring me into danger?" I yelled frustrated.
Some of the pack members looked over to see What we were talking about and why I was yelling at their Alpha. Danny held his head with his hands, then ran them both through his soft beautiful hair. "Fine." "What?" Dave asked with hope in his voice. "Fine, you can show your father, but only in the woods. No one else can see, okay?" "Definitely!" I didn't expect myself to win the fight at all. I was actually beginning to regret yelling at him, when he started to look so stressed out. "Thanks, Danny! Your the greatest." My excitement bubbled over as I gave him a quick peck on the cheek. I was super excited because to me it was the beginning of being able to have a relationship with my father. "Your welcome, and Dave?" "Yeah?" "You'll understand my hesitation, when you see her." With that Dave and I began running to the woods. I couldn't have been anymore excited for him to see my wolf.
We got into the woods and I gave him a big cheeky grin. "Here goes nothing." With that I shifted into my wolf. Dave's reaction wasn't much different from Danny's. His eyes got huge and he just stared at me amazed. I knew my color of my wolf different. I even knew my wolf was the most special wolf in the world, and that Danny didn't realize how close he was when he mentioned the first shifters, but even with that Dave's reaction scared me. Honestly my wolf was special, but that didn't mean I was special. "I see why." Was the only thing Dave said as he continued to stare at me. Suddenly disappointment crept in my system. What if I disappointed him and he didn't want me anymore? Yeah, it was just a wolf but it was the only reason I could think of. I put my head down whimpering much to my wolf distaste. I had control even if wolf form, but my wolf was fighting and arguing me not to put my head down. She kept on say something about it being an honor and not a bad reaction, but I wasn't listening to her.
"Ashlynn, let's run?" Dave finally spoke up, my whimper pulling him out of his trans. I nodded my big wolf head waiting for him. He shifted quickly into a big gray and white wolf, only a little bit smaller then Danny was. With that we were off, both running, ducking and playing through the woods.

Danny POV
Ashlynn looked so happy when I said she could go. I didn't want to not let her go, or hide her wolf from anyone. It scared me though, her wolf was so special. The golden colored fur and pure black paws looked exactly the same way the first female shifter was described as. Even her vibrant blue eyes where special and exactly like the first. I knew she was special from the moment I laid eyes on her, but I thought that was because she was my mate. She was suppose to be special in my eyes. Never had I imagined that her wolf would look like that or that she would be special not just to me, but to the whole world.
"Your mate not training with us?" Some snobby girl asked as I made my way into the center of the field. I didn't care enough to place her name, but I knew I knew her. I knew everyone in the pack, especially the ones that live around the pack house. "No." I answered bluntly not caring what she thought of my rude behavior. "Why, is she too good enough for that? Afraid to brake a nail." Another girl tagged in. My growl roared across the field. It was a known fact that my temper was short and when it came it Ashlynn it managed to be shorter. She had gown through enough with her mother, I wasn't going to deal with her getting any Sh!t from petty girls. "As Luna, your Luna. She has other things to deal with and dealing with your Sh!t and training aren't on her list at the moment." Tanner said automatically at my side.
He shot me a glance telling me we had to talk. He would be the only one beside John the might have known anything about Ashlynn's wolf, so I went along with his request. "Tanner, I need to give you something from my truck." With that easy way of getting out of the crowd we walked over to my truck. "You've seen her, when she shifted?" "Yeah, the night of her shift I was the one that stayed with her. My father was gone because of some of rogue attack and our mother didn't even want her going outside. I saw her that night and knew she was special. So I looked into it." "Look into what?"
"Danny, Ashlynn's wolf is a reincarnation of the first female shifter." What? It made sense, but my little Ashlynn, really? Sioux , the first female shifter, was known to be evil. She would do cruel and evil things to non-shifters. "Tanner, that is a big deal, if it's true. Plus, Ashlynn is nothing like..." "Danny, I said her wolf not her. Her wolf is a different sector, a whole different creature. The wolf can be reincarnated, but attached with a different person like Ashlynn." This was getting to be a lot. "Tanner...I don't know." "Danny, I wasn't sure myself. But I looked into it and with some help of an older man I know for sure it's her." He didn't give any other details about how he knew for sure or even anything about the old man. "Okay, I'll look into it." It was the easiest way to get him off my back about it. It couldn't be true. That was things read about in books, not happening in my life and not about my mate.
She was special and I knew that, but she couldn't be that special, could she?
