Ashlynn POV

Blackness that's all that surrounded me. It went on for miles and miles just plain dark blackness. There was nothing lurking in the corners or watching me. There was nothing hidding in the darkness, because there was nothing in the darkness. There was just me all alone in the darkness that never ended. The darkness wasn't frightening but it also wasn't comforting. I felt emotionless. Suddenly the darkness shattered and I was no longer in the emotionless darkness. In front of me was the back of the pack house. Danny stood in front of me with big scared worried eyes. Brandon, Conner, Tyler, and Alix were all positioned around me, but no one was closer then three feet away from me.

I was in complete silence. I could see Danny's mouth moving and the wind pushed trees, but I couldn't hear any of it. To make all of it feel weirder, I didn't have control over my body. I could feel my mouth move in response, but I didn't know what I was saying. It was like someone completely took over my body. Someone that wasn't me or my wolf. My mouth just finished moving and Danny's eyes grew bigger.

His beautiful hunter green eyes broke my heart. Instead of glistening with love like they always did while looking at me, they emitted only pure hatred. I wasn't sure who took over or what they were saying, but I was praying that the look wasn't to me. I was praying Danny still was in love of me after this whole day. This day felt like it was never going to end and my emotions were completely out of control all day. I blacked out so much in one day it was unbelievable. My anger would start to bubble and I wouldn't understand why at all and next thing I realize I'm throwing a table at my father.

All at once I went crumbling to the ground and the silence shattered. My limps hit the cold hard ground and then my head, which sent an ear shattering scream out my my mouth. Never in my life had I felt any amount of pain that was as bad as the pain in my head. Cold wet tears poured down my face soaking my cheeks. "Danny, help!" I sobbed holding my head. Danny was already at my side though holding me, trying to make the pain go away, but no matter how much he held me and tried to comfort me the pain didn't lesson. "Danny, we need to get her to a hospital." Tyler's voice broke through my sobs. "I'll get the pack doctor..." "No, we need a real hospital. She broke a part of her skull." Tyler said interrupting Conner.

Alix called the ambulance and Him and Conner stayed in the front waiting for it. "Danny, what happened?" My voice came out horse and barely above a whisper. "Sh...baby, please just relax." Danny soothed. He rubbed his hand across my arm to try to calm me, but it was useless. The pain in my head was unbearable and deafening. Then only seconds later everything became bearable again, because the blackness came back.

Danny POV

Her eyes slammed shut like there was led pulling them down. Her passing out though, I knew was a good thing. It would take away the pain and let her relax, so her body could fight through the injury. I stayed at her side holding her had the whole time. Brandon was across from me on her other side, while Tyler was behind her head keeping it off of the ground. Fear was pouring through my veins the longer it was taking for the ambulance to come. She was pregnant and she just broke a part of her skull, who knew what could happen next. "Conner, where the hell is this ambulance?!" As my voice bombed through the yard a group of five men came running to the back yard with supplies and a stretcher. "Excuse me, you three need to move." The only human in the group said. The other four knew better then to tell two Alphas to move out of the way.

A growl roared through me. There was no way in hell I was going to move away from my mate. She needed me at that moment and I didn't care what a stupid human asked me to do. "Danny, we need to move." Brandon said genteelly, but still I refused to let go. Me moving met her being alone and being touched by other men. One of the four men that didn't talk before walked up to me. I recognized him the moment I saw him, he was my friend Paul. He saved Brooke from the pool when she got drunk and he was one of the first people to meet Ashlynn. "Danny, do you trust me?" He whispered. I nodded my head not daring to move my eyes off of Ashlynn. "I promise, no one besides me and Austin will touch her, but we need to get her to the hospital." Austin was another member from the pack, and even though I didn't know him well, I trusted Paul enough. I didn't say one word just moved away from Ashlynn.
