Chapter 14

Elissa POV (Brandon's Mate)

Brandon <3: I miss you so much. By the way you are so wrong, kittens are cuter then puppies and if anyone else finds out I just said that I will be so dead.

I didn't stop myself from giggling as I read Brandon's text message. He was so sweet and wasn't at all the guy he seemed to be at school. We have been talking sence Monday and honestly I couldn't be more happier about him being my mate. "What you laughing at kid?" Alix, my brother's Beta, asked from his desk on the other side of the room. I forgot I was sitting in Tyler's office. "Nothing much just a part in my book." It was the Saturday routine for me to sit in Tyler's and Alix' s shared office and read. Tyler said he felt more comfortable with me in the office with him, so he didn't have to worry about me. "Really, Elissa because your book is not even open." Tyler said looking up from his paper work. I looked down to my lap realizing that he was right, I hadn't even opened the book I brought to read. I got to caught up texting Brandon. "Oh, did I say book? I meant I was thinking about something that happened at school." Tyler shook his head before going back to his paper work. Sighing with relief I went back to texting Brandon.

Me: I miss you too. No, your wrong Puppys are absolutely adorable.

Brandon <3: Not as adorable as you.

I stopped. I had no idea how to respond to that. I know that sounds crazy, but no guy has ever said that it me. Actually most are afraid to even look at me because of my brother. Brandon wasn't though. He didn't care about my brother, just cared that I was his. I didn't expect anything different from him though. He was powerful, besides being third in command, he's blood line was strong too with him being related to the first female shifter. "Who are you texting?" Tyler asked looking up from his paperwork again and noticing my gaze glued to my phone. "A friend." That made Alix turn his attention to me too. I didn't have friends out side of them. Well I had a few in the pack, but I would have said the name if it was one of them. "Who?" "No one." That didn't seem to settle well with Tyler. He stood up from his desk and walked towards me. "Obviously it's someone if they are making you laugh and smile so big." "Tyler, it's no one." Still he didn't believe it, and I didn't blame him. Brandon was a someone and I was deffently being effected by him. Tyler didn't say anything as he wripped the phone out of my hands.

Looking down he read the message, before his eyes snapped back to mine. "Who is this?" He growled enraged. "Brandon." "I see that, Brandon who?" "Elion." His eyes grew wide as he stood their shocked. "From Danny's pack? The Brandon Elion?" I couldn't find my voice. It felt as if my throat was closing in and there was something solid stuck in the back of my throat. Instead of showing my true pain and discomfort of talking about my mate that way I nodded yes. "I'm going to kill that son of a b!tch." His growl roared through the room as he stormed back to his desk. "No, you can't." My voice came out strained. Even the thought of anyone hurting Brandon made my heart clench in pain. "Tell me a good reason why I shouldn't?" "He's my mate."It slipped from my mouth without me realizing it. Brandon wanted to be the one to tell Tyler that, he said that it was his job to talk to him about it. Tyler's brown eyes grew bigger as the drilled into my green one's. He looked surprise and taken back. "Your mate?" I nodded my head not able to respond. "Okay, and when did plan on telling me?" He asked closing his eyes and falling back into his chair. "Um..." As I was about to respond my phone vibrated.
