Chapter 10
Ashlynn's POV
It was 5:05 and we were running late. Danny and I both fell asleep and woke up a hour before we were meant to meet everyone. I still had no idea where we were going. Looking in the mirror I couldn't help but focus solely on the mark Danny placed on my neck. It looked so perfect, and exactly where it belonged. My hands lightly traced over the beautiful mark. "Mhh...Baby, I love that mark. Especially when you look so happy about it." Danny commented wrapping his arm's around me. It was true I was buzzing with happiness. My wolf was purring with bliss. Everything seemed so perfect. It didn't matter to me that I still didn't have the necklace and my life was still in danger. If I was going to die, then at least I would die happy. I finally got away from my mother, met my father who
loves me, Found brothers who love me as much as my other brother and best of all I mated to the most perfect, amazing mate that I could imagine. Life was perfect, and all my dreams were complete.
"Baby, are you ready?" I looked at my reflection one more time and caught Danny staring admirably at me through the mirror. "Yup, let's go." With that we made our way down stairs and outside. "Danny, where's your truck?" "Your father still has it, so we are going to use his truck." Dave's truck stood in front of us, I realized Stan must have drove it home. With that we got in the truck and started down the road. "Danny, where are we going?" l asked testing my luck, again. "It's a surprise, love." Love? He's never called me that before, what could that mean? It probably meant I was over reacting and acting really girlly. "Pleaseeeeee!!!" I begged again. "Stop your begging, we are here."
My head snapped up to look at the surroundings we pulled in to. It was a small parking lot, but sat in the center was good size colorful building. The sign as I huge white thingy with the words, Bowling frenzy, across it. "Bowling?" I asked excitedly looking over at him. He's face held worry like he didn't think I was happy about it. "Yes?" "Then why are we out here?" I asked jumping out of the truck. Danny ran up to me and began guiding us into the yellow, blue, and red building. I never went bowling before, actually I had no idea what it really was, but I had heard about it.
We were greeted by ice cold air while stepping into the building. The group was on the far side of the building, but I could see and hear everything they were doing. Conner was leaning against a wall texting. His blond hair falling in front of his eye's. Brandon, Paul ,and one of the new guys I met, Luke, were talking to a group of five girls. Two of the girls I recognized as Brook and Paige. The other ones though, I had no who they were. Then there was Tanner and some guy getting shoes. It was a huge group of routy, crazy, teen wolves. Yeah, that sounds safe. Please note the sarcasm.
Danny pulled me over to them as I took everything in. There were these weird lanes, and something at the end of each lane. I had no idea what they were and why they were there. Then there were these balls lined up on a convayer belt. "Danny, what are those things?" I asked pointing to the things that looked exactly like the shape of the sign at the end of a lain. "They're called pins." I didn't miss the condescending and rude tone that Paige had when she answered the question directed to Danny. I bite my lip stopping the growl my wolf was pushing me to let out. My wolf wasn't taking it. She was important and special and that was the way she wanted to be treated. To add to it she was her Luna, she deserved more respect. I wasn't as upset about it, it was Paige and she was always going to be that way. Danny seemed to be in agreement with my wolf. His eyes narrowed shooting a hunter green glare her way.
"Paige." To my surprise it wasn't Danny's warning growl, but Conner's. He pushed himself off the wall eyeing me. It was weird. It wasn't a hard glare but a puzzled gaze. He stalked forward not talking his eyes off of me. Danny pulled me closer to him and everyone else stopped talking watching the scene unfold. I wasn't afraid and my wolf wasn't threaten. She was just as puzzled as he looked. Only a foot in front of me he stopped and lifted his hand up to the hair that was hidding Danny's mark. He didn't get to it though because Danny's vicious growl stopped him. He pulled his eyes way from me and looked at Danny and his most likely pitch black eyes. Then he snapped his eyes back at me. A smirk formed across his face as our eyes met again. "Welcome, to the pack Luna." He said it load enough altering the whole building, lucky no humans were there.
