Life is like a race
You're either in first place
Or you're in last place
You're ahead of everyone
Faster and better
But then you begin to slow down
And friends and famliy and life
Begin to catch up
And pass you up
And suddenly you're in last place
So you pick up the pace
And finally you're in the middle
And suddenly you don't want to finish
And by the time you do finish
You realize you've accomplished a lot
And even though you didn't finish first
You didn't finish last
But the most important thing is
You beat life
