False Hope

"AAAHHHHH! OMG Congrats sa'tin!"
"Good Job sa inyong lahat!"
"Kumusta ang performance namin, Miss?"
"Ang galing niyo! Sabay sabay halos lahat, walang tapon!"
I eyed the crowd with a big smile plastered on my face. I saw big smiles and a huge pride on our coach's face who kept on commending our performance for the cheerleading competition today.
The dried paint on my face hurt a bit but that didn't stop me from smiling. The metalic designs on our clothes sparkled beneath the sun and that was one of the natural spark we had during our dance. Many said we're like emerald stones sparkling dahil sa green na costume namin.
"Ang galing ng pag-ikot mo do'n sa ere, Je!"
Marami ang pumuri sa flyers namin. It was a simple stunt but they managed to make it grand.
One of our classmate asked us.
"Ayos na kami, thank you. Sandwich meron pa?"
I bit on my sandwich as I watch my poor toes. We were the third to perform, the freshmen and the sophomore preceded us, by year level kasi.
"Hati tayo o."
"Huwag na, gutom ka rin."
Umiling ako. "Hindi masyado."
Mabilis akong mabusog kapag nag-softdrinks agad.
"Congrats guys!"
Bunch of basketball men in their jersey passed by. I eyed the people behind them and it's Spencer with their other fellow player.
"Ang galing niyo kanina,Ad!"
I can't focus to Paul's praises though.
"T-Thank y-you." Mahina ang sagot ko kay Paul.
Paul kept on talking while I watched them all appear slowly on my vision. The last to come near us was Spencer, wala ng pamilyar na imahe pagkatapos niya.
"Congrats sa inyo." Bati nila.
I smiled and just took a bit on my food.
"Pres, wala bang pa sandwich diyan." Cas resumed on her request for food.
