The night felt colder than usual. I curled up under my blanket, staring at the ceiling, my mind too restless to let me sleep.
Ever since my "Death" and seeing some new memories of my past, I'd been feeling... different. Not just emotionally, but physically. There was a strange pull inside me, like something was shifting just beneath my skin. My energy felt unstable, flickering in and out like a dying flame.
I closed my eyes, forcing myself to breathe evenly. I just need sleep.
But the moment I drifted off—
I woke up somewhere else.
I gasped, my body jerking awake as my hands pressed against cold stone beneath me. My surroundings were completely unfamiliar. The warm air of my borrowed house had vanished, replaced by the damp, earthy scent of a forest. I was sitting on the hard ground, surrounded by towering trees that swayed gently under the moonlight.
Panic shot through me.
What the hell?!
I scrambled to my feet, looking around wildly. I had been in my bed—I know I was in my bed!—and now I was... here?
How did I get here?
My breathing was uneven as I pressed my fingers to my temples, trying to think. There were no tracks in the dirt, no signs that I had walked here in my sleep. The only explanation was—
No. That couldn't be possible.
My hands trembled as I raised them in front of me, focusing on the energy inside me. My blue glow flickered, erratic and unstable. It didn't feel like my usual telekinesis. It felt... different.
My mind raced back to my past nightmares, the blurred images of me disappearing from one place and appearing in another. I had always assumed they were just dreams—memories warped by fear and confusion.
But what if they weren't?
What if I had just teleported?
A chill ran down my spine.
I swallowed hard, forcing myself to stay calm. First things first—I needed to get back. I had no idea where I was, but if I had gotten here without realizing it, maybe I could—
Before I could even finish the thought, the ground shifted beneath me. My vision blurred—
And suddenly, I was back.
I collapsed onto my bed, gasping for breath, my heart hammering against my ribs. My sheets were tangled around me, as if I had never left. But I had left. I knew I had.
I stared at my hands, still glowing faintly with that same unstable blue energy.
Something inside me had changed.
And I had no idea what it meant.
