The hum of the sterile machinery in the lab vibrated through the cold, metallic walls, amplifying the silence that hung between me and the man who had created me. The sterile, clinical environment around me felt like a prison, suffocating and alien. This place, this world, was nothing like the one I had come to know with Hikaru, Tsunade, and the others. Here, I didn't felt like a person.
"You're finally here," the scientist said, his voice monotone, almost disinterested, as he stared at me through the glass barrier that separated us. "I knew it would only be a matter of time before you'd come back."
His words made my blood run cold. I had seen the truth through my visions, in my fragmented memories.
"I've been waiting for you," he continued, stepping closer to the glass, his gloved hands resting on the edge of the panel. "You were always meant for something greater. The experiment was never about creating a human—it was about creating a weapon. A weapon that could harness the untapped potential of this world and beyond."
His words cut through me like a blade. Weapon? Not even a person.
I had been nothing more than an experiment. A project.
"How could you—?" My voice faltered, but I quickly steadied myself. "How could you do this to someone?"
The scientist's face was hidden in the shadow, but I could sense the indifference in his posture. "You were never supposed to live the life of a human. You were always an asset. A tool. But then your powers grew and became uncontrollable on your sixteenth birthday, you had no idea what was happening, did you?"
I recoiled as memories of that day—of the moment my powers had triggered and everything had gone horribly wrong—came rushing back. I remembered waking up in the forest of the world that wasn't mine.
I looked at the man, struggling to piece together the fragments of the truth that had eluded me for so long. "So, when my powers awakened... that's when I teleported there. To another world... where I met Hikaru."
The scientist nodded, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "Yes, you teleported into a different dimension. A world where you had no memory of your past, a clean slate. You began living a new life."
My mind reeled as his words washed over me. The truth of my origin, the brutal reality of my existence, was like a wound that kept deepening with every revelation. I had thought I was just a girl who had lost her memory. But I was a weapon, created for a purpose—by someone who had never seen me as human.
"You stole my life the moment i was born," I said, my voice shaking with rage. "You made me into a weapon, but then i got sent to another world, erasing everything I was. Your plans got ruined." I said with a smirk.
The scientist's gaze hardened, his eyes became cold. "You were an experiment to understand the limits of human potential. Your power is unlike anything we've seen before. It doesn't belong in that world, it doesn't belong anywhere! You should never have existed."
I took a step forward, my heart burning with a mix of anger and sorrow. "But I do exist," I said firmly. "And I have a life now. I have a family. People who care about me."
The scientist scoffed. "Family? A false illusion. You cannot belong to a world that was never meant for you."
I stared at him, my chest heavy with conflicting emotions. I had spent so long trying to fit in, trying to understand who I was, trying to protect the people I loved. But now, with the truth in front of me, I saw just how much of my life in Konoha was right for me.
But despite the rage, the hurt, and the confusion that churned inside me, I knew one thing for certain: I wasn't this man's creation anymore. I wasn't just a weapon. I had become more than that.
"You don't get to define who I am," I said, my voice steady despite the tumult inside me. "I've found my own purpose. And I have a family who chose me. I won't let you take that from me."
The scientist said nothing for a long moment. I could feel his eyes on me, as though trying to read my soul, trying to figure out if I was truly beyond his control. Finally, he sighed and turned away, typing something into a console near the wall. "It seems I have no use for you, this world is in shambles, we're at the brink of extinction, you were going to be our hope, but then you disappeared, now it's to late." he said, his tone still detached. "You've outgrown this experiment. But don't think you can escape what you are."
His words stung, but I didn't flinch. I had already made my choice. I wasn't going to let him dictate my future.
"I don't belong here," I said, my heart heavy but resolute. "And I'm not your property to need permisson to leave, i needed answers and i got them."
With one last look at the scientist—at the man who had never seen me as human—I turned away and walked toward the door.
I had to go back to the world where I belonged, to the people who cared for me. To Hikaru, Kakashi, and the family I had found.
