The world around me seemed to shimmer as I stepped away from the sterile lab, the heavy hum of machinery fading into the background. The cold metal of the walls behind me felt distant now, irrelevant. As I walked toward the exit, my mind raced with thoughts of where I was headed—back to the world where I had discovered who I really was, the world where my family was. Where I was.
I had never felt such a clarity before. I had been lost for so long, but now I knew exactly what I was doing. The truth about my origins, about the scientist, and about my powers had shattered every illusion I once had. But even as my world was turned upside down, I knew I wasn't alone anymore. I wasn't just a weapon, I was a person. I was Mayumi.
Taking a deep breath, I focused on the flickering images in my mind—the faces of Hikaru, Kakashi, and Tsunade, the village of Konoha with its familiar streets and comforting atmosphere. The sensation of their presence, their care, their love. They were waiting for me. Home.
I concentrated, willing the energy within me to surge—felt the familiar pull of my powers, the glowing blue energy rippling through my hands. I'd learned to control it over time, but now it felt different. More intense.
With a sudden rush of force, the world around me warped, the familiar metallic walls of the lab distorting before my eyes. I felt the pull of the teleportation surge through me, and before I could think twice, the world shifted.
I stepped back into the world I knew, the familiar surroundings of Konoha welcoming me like an embrace. But something had changed within me. I was no longer lost in the sea of questions about who I was. I knew now. I knew where I came from, what I was, and most importantly—what I had to do next.
And no matter where my powers had come from, or where I truly belonged, Konoha was where I had found my family. My real family. And that was all that mattered.
I looked around, taking in the familiar sights, they have alredy rebuild everything. "that was unusually fast". i saw the towering Hokage office in the distance, the bustling market street where villagers laughed and traded, the peaceful village I had come to call home. My heart swelled with a sense of peace I hadn't felt in what seemed like ages.
But I knew I wasn't the same person I had been when I left. No. Not anymore.
I was here now. I was where I was meant to be.
I walked down the familiar path toward the Hokage's office, my mind filled with one thought: I had to see him. Kakashi.
