The village gates loomed ahead, tall and unyielding. I had passed through them countless times before, but this time was different.

This time, I wasn't coming back.

Not yet.

The weight of my decision pressed down on me, but I didn't hesitate. Every step forward felt heavier than the last, but I forced myself to keep going.

I had said my goodbyes. Now, there was only the unknown ahead.

For the first few days, I traveled in silence. i went back to the forest where i first woke up. figured i would take me back to my world and started practicing.

I stuck to the trees when I could, keeping my presence hidden. The forest was mostly empty, but I wasn't taking chances. I didn't know what—or who—was waiting for me beyond this world, but something told me I wasn't the only one looking for answers.

My nightmares had been getting worse.

The visions were clearer now, the fragmented memories piecing themselves together in ways that sent chills down my spine.

A sterile white room.
The hum of machines.
A voice—his voice—murmuring calculations under his breath.
Pain. So much pain.
And then—
Power.

I would wake up gasping, my body trembling, and—more often than not—somewhere else entirely.

The first time it happened, I nearly lost my mind.

One second, I had been curled up in my sleeping bag. The next, I was outside, sitting in the branches of a tree, with no memory of moving.

The second time, it was even worse.

I had been running through a field, stretching my muscles after a long night, when I felt the familiar pull in my chest—like something inside me was shifting. Before I could react, the world blurred around me, and suddenly I was on the other side of a river I knew I hadn't crossed.

Panic hit me hard.

This wasn't just speed. It wasn't just reflexes.

I had teleported.

It was like my body was acting on instinct, moving me to safety before my mind could even catch up.

I spent the next few weeks experimenting, trying to trigger it on purpose, but nothing worked. It only happened when I wasn't thinking about it. Which meant I had no control. And that was dangerous. i was ending up in different places, they were strange and nothing felt familiar, but never did i ended up in a plece form my memories also.

By the time I had a little progress, I was exhausted.

I cooked the fish that i had cought and had dinner in silence. that was the hardest part of it all, being truly alone. The moment I laid down to sleep, I felt my body relax.

No Hikaru.
No Kakashi.
No one watching my back.

And for the first time, the silence scared me.

I didn't know what was waiting for me on the other side of this journey.

I didn't know if I wanted to know.

But I had already made my choice.

There was no turning back now.

With that thought, I closed my eyes, hoping for dreamless sleep.

Hoping for a moment of peace.

Instead, the nightmares found me again.

And this time, they felt real.
