Five hours later-
I sat roughly on the bench in the rooftop.
"Shit I'm so tired." I released a sigh as I leaned my head on my shoulder.
The sun had started peaking through the clouds, I'd spent pretty much all night on the East Wing.
Thankfully the most critical patients had been healed and only those with minor injuries were left.
However, I'm so drained I can barely keep myself awake.
Ring. Ring.
Huh
I took my gloves off before reaching my hand into my pocket, fishing for my phone.
Aizawa-- Calling
As I read the caller ID something in me moved.
I pressed the green button and brought the phone closer to my ear.
"Hey Aizawa."
"Good morning L/N, how was the night at the hospital? Are you doing all right?" he spoke with a sultry tone.
"There were some gory scenes but I took care of the critical patients!" I ended the sentence with a somewhat jolly tone.
He chuckled.
The sound of his laugh froze my world.
What is this feeling.
"I bet you did, how are you feeling now?"
"Dead tired but I'm pulling through."
"Do you know at what time you can leave the hospital?"
"I'm just going to monitor some patients for a while, I'll probably leave at around 8."
"Okay, I'll come pick you up." He stated bluntly.
"What?"
"You plan on taking the subway in your current state?"
"Well no I was considering calling an UBER."
"Don't be so excited to waste your money, I can simply pick you up."
" Thank you Aizawa I really appreciate it!" He sighed.
"Well I'll see you later, L/N."
After that the call ended.
I stared at my phone for moment longer before heading towards the door limping a little bit in the process.
Guess I'll finish my work here before leaving .
~~~
Two hours later--
Ping.
I glanced at my phone as I sat on the lobby.
I'm here.
Was all his text read.
I stood up and headed outside, picking up the coat they had given me.
As the doors at the entrance opened for me, I began searching for the black car I had grown so familiar to.
My vision was blury and my steps were sloppy and messy.
I squinted my eyes but still couldn't find the vehicle.
As I looked to my right, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I flinched before turning over to meet the person who had just touched me. f
"Let's go L/N" he said.
Of course it was him, recently, he was always there. Saving me.
