Y/N's POV

Hurriedly I sat down, and pressed the call button on the screen.

One ring.

Two rings.

I looked down at the time.

She probably won't answer right now, she did send that message a couple hours ago.

Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a voice from the other side. "Hi Doctor L/N!" The girl from the other side beamed.

Quickly I brought the phone closer to my ear. "Hey Yami! Sorry I couldn't answer before, I was busy with work."

"Oh no worries! I know working at UA must be tough, I was just calling to let you know about Eri."

I stood up, surprised. "Is everything alright?" I asked hysterically.

Yami was a nurse at the hospital, more specifically, the nurse I had asked to keep an eye over Eri. She was amongst the youngest in her rank which I thought would make it easier for her an Eri to bond. Unfortunately, I was wrong.

"Well she's not doing bad physically, she just, you know, seems a little depressed about you leaving, she's been asking when you'll be back and stuff."

I sighed in defeat. "I tried to ease her worries before leaving but it looks like I wasn't able to."

"Don't beat yourself up! You've been with her for a while, and she grew attached to you, it's not like it's your fault for her missing you."

"I get that, but I still feel bad not being able to do anything."

"You could always visit tomorrow since it's the weekend!"

"I was thinking of doing that, but I'll need my coworker to drive me, and I don't know if he'll even accept."

Her grin could be heard as she spoke. "The same handsome coworker that came to pick you up today?"

My face reddened. "You saw him?"

"How could I not? He's been practically living in the hospital every since you came here."

"He's just worried about Eri, I'm sure."

"Wait, but if he cares about Eri, why can't he bring you during the weekend?" she sounded confused.

"Well, you know, he's a teacher and a hero, and he has a pretty hectic schedule. I really want to see Eri but I don't want to burden him in the process." I fidgeted with my fingers.

"Still, I'm sure if you talk to him, and let him know, he wouldn't mind. He seems like a nice person!"

A soft smile took over my features.

Shota really is a nice person, however, I am much too underserving of his kindness.

"Well Yami, I have to go now, thank you so much for looking after Eri and letting me know how she's doing!"

"It's no problem at all! Hope you have a good night!"

"Likewise."

With warms goodbyes, the call ended.

I was seriously beat, but I still had to freshen up.

It was too late for a bath, not like I would survive one in my current level of exhaustion, thus I opted for the shower in my dorm.

I grabbed the silk Pjs on my bed, along with comfortable underwear for the night.

---------------------

The shower was quick enough to keep me awake, yet thorough enough to clean me off.

The droplets of water dripped from by body onto the wooden floor beneath me.
