Chapter 24~

Y/N'S POV

"Well I'll start taking my leave!" I said to Recovery Girl as I packed my belongings, and headed out.

"Bye dear, make sure to rest, you look worn out, I'm worried." She replied concern evident in her voice as she cupped her cheek.

I looked and I felt worn out, guess I shouldn't have snuck into Gym Gamma with All Might.

Still, I laughed off her worries before walking back to the teacher's dorms.

The sun had already started to set, and only a few students roamed the school's hallways.

"Bye Ms. L/N!" A group of third year students said as I walked past them.

Somehow I had become sort of famous in the school. I didn't mind it though.

"Bye!"

The hot summer breeze felt welcoming and reassuring as I trotted down the sidewalk to the dorms.

Ever since All Might's retirement a few days ago, the situation around the school, damn around the whole country, had tensed up. It was hard finding a moment free of stress.

And I knew it wasn't just me. The other faculty staff, the teachers specifically had it much harder than I, having to face the direct consequences of the retirement, and yet here I am complaining.

A sigh escaped my lips.

I'm so tired, all I want right now is my bed.

I rubbed my eyes with the back of my hands.

Finally I reached the dorms and greeted some of the teachers that were in the common areas before heading to my room.

I wasn't familiar with everyone yet, so things were still pretty awkward.

The moment my door opened Burger came and nuzzled against my leg.

"Where's my sweet little baby!" I cooed while I ran my hand through his fur

I swear he loves being coddled.

When I was fully in my room, I looked at the clock to my right.

7:38PM

I should probably get some dinner.

I started changing out of my scrubs, letting each item drop to the floor before placing them neatly on my bed side.

My eyes kept drooping, but I had to at least eat dinner.

Accidentally I skipped lunch after spending the majority of my break in Gym Gamma, with Shota.

...With Shota.

My eyes widen, energy conjuring out of thin air.

Shota...

The ways his hands snaked through my body, his hardened biceps when he pulled me out of the way.

His jagged breaths and focused eyes.

Those eyes.

Heat starting rushing up my head, I really should stop my delusions, he was literally just helping me out.

But still...

It was late at night I had eaten, taken Burger outside to the balcony— hoping to catch a glimpse of Shota and absolutely failing— texted Kayama, showered, and I still couldn't fall asleep.
