"Thanks for helping move my stuff in Kayama."

"No problem honey, I'll get going I have to prepare the class schedule." She announced.

"Well I'll leave you to it."

It has been two days since the incident with Shota. It wasn't awkward but there was a lingering feeling between us that was becoming hard to ignore, that I had to ignore.

Kayama had helped me move my belongings into my room, at the UA staff apartment building.

Most of the teachers decided to move in, with the exception of Cementos, and two other more third year teachers.

Ever since that call, Kai hadn't tried to contact me, and I was too scared to do it myself. Shota told me to wait for his next move, but all the waiting was driving me insane.

For the past two nights, I could barely sleep with thought of Kai's hand grasping my neck tainting my mind.

Well, enough about that, the new apartment was small, dorm would be a better word for it.

While we had a room and personal bathroom, the kitchen and baths were in the common areas.
Still, the room felt cozy and homey.

Burger was still with me, snoring in the corner of his bed, but I couldn't sleep for the live of me.

I shuffled on my sheets, but nothing.
I slipped my shoes on and headed out the balcony.

Back in my apartment, the balcony was small and sketchy, so I never really dared to go out, but the one at the UA campus was new and looked big enough.

I slid the door shut as I stepped outside, the wind greeting my body and face.

I rested my arms against the railing, and closed my eyes, submerging myself into nature's embrace.

The camp incident, Kai's call, the memories of mom resurfacing. I was exhausted.

"What are thinking about?"

I turned my head at the masculine voice.

Fate had its way of working indeed.
I let out a tired chuckle, "Just stuff, although I am shocked you went the extra mile and asked Nezu to set your dorm next to mine." I teased.

"You seem to forget that I value my peace"

"Are you calling me loud?"

"Precisely." He smirked.

"Just because you said that I'll make sure to make extra noise."

There was a comfortable silence for a few minutes, until Shota spoke up.

"How are you feeling."

"Feeling about what?" I knew what he meant, but i still tried to dodge the question. Not even I knew how I was feeling.

"The call two days ago."

I shuffled in place. "Could be better, but I'm alright!" My tone defied my fatigued look.

"If you can't sleep, just let me know, I've got plenty of papers to grade." He added, into what I assumed was a joke.

"I'll consider it." The air blended with us and lulled me into a sleepy state.

"You should head to bed, you look like you need it."

For the first time in the night, I finally looked his way. He wore his usual dark long sleeve shirt and sweatpants that hugged his body in the right way.
Red flushed my cheeks at the thought.

"Are you saying I look a mess?"

"I'm simply stating that you look like you haven't rested."

I let out a defeated sigh. "Well you got me there."
A yawn slipped through my mouth.

"You should sleep too Shota, I don't want to see you mopping around the teachers' lounge tomorrow." I retorted swaying away the conversation.

"Head inside Y/N." He said sternly in his teacher voice, reaching me and sending shiver down my body.

I opened the door to the apartment and met his eyes, a pout adorning my face at the fact that he had ordered me effectively, "Just know I'll go to sleep but not because you told me." With that I closed the door and headed to bed.
