Y/N's POV
My eyes fluttered open as the bright lights shone into them.
Where am I?
I covered my lids with my clammy palms at least until my vision adjusted to the fluorescent lights.
After what felt like a moment, my eyes darted across what seemed to be an ambulance, its doors were open, and a bit of the warm breeze slid in uninvitedly, yet I gracefully accepted it. The white coated walls felt comfortable and protective.
To my other side was a bag filled with fluids connected to my forearm. It didn't hurt, on the contrary, it felt kind of rejuvenating.
My eyes continued on their hunt for someone, anyone that could answer my question.
Against my will, I groggily sat up, throwing my messed up hair out of the way. My vision landed on the familiar jacket sprawled over my once exposed legs, it's cotton fabric grazing and leaving me feeling safe.
I felt my cheeks heat up, my ears suddenly burning with the thought of him.
Shota... I thought as I caressed the fabric in between my fingers. Did I seriously fall asleep in front of him?! This is so embarrassing!
I folded my legs to my chest to get a better feel for the piece of clothing. His smell lingered through it, and I couldn't help but further sink my head into it. His mere scent drew a perfect figure of him in mind, of his lingering gentle-hesitant touch and his serious tone as he reprimanded me for doing something wrong during training. I miss those little moments between us, it really has been so long.
First it was me staying at the Hospital and now thi-
"Y/N, are you awake?" I heard his voice call from the outside of the car.
Slowly I lifted my heated up face from my knees, meeting his infuriatingly handsome features as his jet-black hair danced through the wind as if taunting my resolve.
My brows furrowed, as the temperature inside of the vehicle rose
His eyes widened before he kneeled closer inside of the van. "Everything alright?" he cupped my cheek, only making the situation worse. "You're face is really red Y/N, remember not to overdo it."
I turned my eyes to the other side, he was wearing another long sleeve shirt, only this one was a bit tighter than his jacket, tight enough that it wasn't hard to catch a glimpse of his jacked up biceps. "It's nothing, I just felt a little hot." I mumbled.
He sat back to my side, putting his hand by his side.
"We're almost leaving for the hospital, just bear with it a little longer please." He stated casually.
Yet, I wasn't feeling bad, and I need to know about the others.
"How many casualties were there?" I blurted out, remembering the many heroes that came to rescue Eri and I.
He scratched his nape as he looked to his crossed knees. "There are a few with minor injuries, others like Kirishima and Fatgum received more damage, but they'll be alright. However, Mirio lost his quirk, and Night Eye he...he was pierced with a spike to his stomach, he's in critical condition."
My hand swung to cover my mouth. Night Eye, that had to be the hero in the suit. "Where is he?! I can help." I spluttered out anxiously, setting my hands down near him.
He laid a hand on my shoulder. "Calm down Y/N, he's already in the hospital, if you're feeling better you can help once we get there, but for now try and get some rest." He tried pushing me lightly backwards to lay on the mattress like artifact they had me on top of.
