It has been a week since the incident at the beach, and you were ignoring Aizawa at all costs. The feeling of... "rejection" you felt was still too fresh.
From waking up an hour earlier, to skipping lunch every time you'd see him in your table.
Of course, two certain individuals caught on to the little tension between you both, but yet decided to not mention it.
The students had already returned to school.
So much for a break. You sighed as you plopped your head in your desk.
Recovery girl was back, so you got to lazy around a little more.
Then said woman came through the door.
"Hey Y/N dear! Just wanted to let you know, Nezu is looking for you."
"For me?"
"Yes indeed."
"Thanks for letting me know, Ms. Shuzenji!"
"I told you, just call me Shuzenji." The elderly woman exclaimed.
"Right. Sorry!" You replied with an awkward laugh as you bowed.
"Well I'm off."
What could Nezu want with me. You were genuinely curious.
WAIT IS GOING TO FIRE ME?! The possibility dawned at you right as you were about to open to door to the principal's office. You knocked.
"Come in." you heard from the other side of the door.
"Good morning principal."
"Good morning to you as well. Please sit down." he pointed to the chair in front of him and you followed. You held both of your hand together shaking slightly and sweating profoundly at the anxiety rising upon you.
Then, at last, the furry animal spoke. "Well L/N, I have you in my office today regarding some important news."
Oh it's coming.
"I'd like you to attend the 1st year's training camp, that's starting in two days!" He announced excitedly.
Wait... first years as in Aizawa's class..? And why me anyway?
" Um Principal, if I may ask, why me?"
"Well it's simple L/N, we need an extra chaperone, and while you're there, you could also tend to any injuries, it's a genius idea!"
"Do I have a choic-"
"No!" he interrupted cheerfully, with that classic smile of his.
"Oh, okay, then I guess I'll start packing later today." you murmured.
"Wonderful! See you around L/N."
Well shit. You thought as you closed the door behind you.
As you were turning the corner, just like the first time you met him, the man that you were so desperately trying to avoid, Aizawa.
At the sight of him your eyes widened, and you turned in your heels to the way you were coming from.
"Wait L/N, can I talk to you?" He asked with an unusual tone. You waddled around to face him, and noticed his arm retracting from your frame, as if he meant to pick yours up.

Flashback: Minutes before
Aizawa's POV
"Hey yo Shota, did you do anything to upset L/N? She's been ignoring you like the plague." Yamada questioned. I couldn't deny it, even I had began to notice it, the way you'd leave your apartment earlier, how every time you met his face you'd just turn the other way and avoid him all together. It was starting to sting.
"...Perhaps." I kept staring into the plate of food in front of me.
Damn I always find a way to ruin things.
"Well whatever you did, you better fix it fast, 'cause of you, she hasn't joined us for lunch any of these days. Do you know how much gossip I'm missing because of you?" Midnight added.
"Yeah, Yeah." I just headed back to the classrooms, hands on my pockets.
It had to be what I said the other day.
END OF FLASHBACK
~~
"Sure..." your gaze was still lowered to the floor.
As he was about to open his mouth, some students began walking down the hallway.
"Come, follow me, there's too many students out here." He lead you both into an empty classroom and shut the door.
"L/N I noticed I've made things rather awkward, and I'm sorry."
I was afraid it was going to be about this.
"It's alright don't worry." Your tone was neutral as you leaned against the wall, still not meeting his gaze. A half bait lie
"...To be honest" He continued as if knowing your response was nothing but lies, his hand found the usual spot in his head. "After... what happened on the beach, you were acting pretty weird, so I thought I had made you uncomfortable, which was never my intention. That's why I said what I said.. Sorry if it came out the wrong way.. I'm not the best at expressing my feelings into words." The room was silence before you let out a genuine chuckle.
"I actually had a really fun time at the beach, the reason I was a little quiet was" You mind raced to the feeling of his sturdy chest against your body, of his breath fanning the outer shell of your ear, the beating in your heart. "nothing! I actually thought I was the one who'd made you uncomfortable."
He looked quite shocked at the last statement. "I don't think you're capable of doing that." he tucked both his arms and let out a relieved sigh.
"I'm glad it's all sorted out, the table at lunch looks weird now without you."
You laughed. "And here I thought you liked third wheeling Yamada and Kayama."
He looked terribly serious. "It pains me." you snorted at the comment.
The bell rung signaling the end of lunch for the first years, "Well I've got to get going." As he was halfway through the door, he peaked at your direction. "I'm bringing you to school tomorrow, so don't try and sneak out earlier." You blushed embarrassedly. He actually noticed.
"Also start packing your bag, the training camp will last three weeks, so make sure you've got enough clothes." The he left without waiting for your answer.
Wait. How did he know I was going to the training camp?
