Y/N's POV

I regained consciousness as my body was carried over somebody's shoulder.

From this position I could only catch a glimpse of the sterile white lights that reflected on the marbled floor.

I didn't move, I couldn't reveal that I was awake just yet, but I still felt the way rope wrapped roughly around my ankles and torso, and how my mouth was taped shut, most likely to prevent my screams from being heard.

Alongside the man that carried me was the shorter gangster from earlier, the one that I managed to kick.

The atmosphere was eerily quiet, enough to make me bite the inside of cheeks to stop my mouth from quivering.

If I had been better, none of this would be happening right now.

They opened a heavy door and I shut my eyes instinctively to not attract attention.

"We got her boss." The guy carrying me said.

"Good, set her down in that chair over there." A voice so familiar and haunting replied.

The man approached the chair and set my limp body down peeling off the tape from my mouth. My head hung low as I faked unconsciousness and the man wrapped my body to the wooden chair.

I could hear far away steps making their way closer to my body as the guy in front of me retracted.

"What the hell is this?" He asked forcefully. "I thought I made it clear that I didn't want any of you to damage her too much."

From the sound of things my face and clothes must be pretty bloody for him to say that, given how any injuries I had obtained were already healed.

"We had no choice boss, she was more aggressive than we thought, and Chrono's power didn't work on her. Besides it's just blood all the injuries are healed." A voice replied trembling.

"Chrono..." Kai started. "Where is he?" His tone soured.

"In the basement with Eri sir, there appears to have been an issue."

I felt eyes land on my body.

I wouldn't be able to hold the act for any longer. My neck and shoulders screamed in agony as I was tied back.

"Shes's still out of it thanks to someone." He said slithering. "Let's go check up on Eri in the mean time."

Eri? Who's that? Did they kidnap another woman along with me?

I heard steps exit the door, and after a minute, that I made sure they weren't there, I cranked up my neck.

"I have to get out of here and find help." I murmured under my breath as I shuffled in the seat trying to disentangle my hands.

Labored breaths left my body as my energy started draining and I was making little progress.

The my eyes caught a shiny object to my left, a knife.

If  I could grabbed it I would be able to cut the ropes.

I didn't think a second longer as I moved my head to the left forcefully falling—along with the chair— to the floor.

"Shit" I hissed from the impact.

I breathed two more times before I started reaching for the knife. I had my back to it, but I hoped that I could make contact with it.

My breathing trembled, how much time did I have left?

My hands fumbled through the floor.

The knife! I found it at last and held it tightly with my right hand as I tried cutting against the thick rope tied against my wrists.
