Chapter 25~

Y/N POV

Today I decided to head to lunch a little later in hopes of finding Kayama and Shota, since they were both still training the first years from 1-A, their schedules were changed.

Hard to believe, but in all honesty I'm really excited from today. It's not that I liked fighting or was a violent person by any means, but if it meant that I could protect myself from future threats, I'd take the training any day.

The moment I opened the door to the cafeteria —which was now deserted with the exception of one table— I saw Yamada, Kayama, and Shota all in our usual spot.

With hurry, I made my way to the cafeteria stand. "Hey Lunch Rush, could you make some F/F, please?"

"Of course L/N, coming right up."

After being in UA for a few months now I have to say, one of my favorite parts was definitely the food, it was constant, delicious, and savory.

"Here you go!" He handed me the plate.

"Thanks Rush!" As I thanked him, I made my way to the table of teachers.

"Hiya, Y/N! You're here later than usual" Yamada greeted, as I sat next to Kayama.

"I decided to change lunch times with Recovery Girl, for the meantime."

"Aw was it to be with us, Y/N?" Midnight teased.

"You caught me, eating lunch alone is too boring, and last time I went to Gym Gamma I almost got myself killed, so I thought it'd be best if I simply switched lunches." I continued eating.

Jeez, this food is so good, I'm starting to feel like Kayama.

"Well, glad to have you back, we missed having you on our daily lunches!" Replied Yamada. "Now, I wanna know, how is everyone doing in these new dorms."

Kayama placed her hand to her cheek and started swooning. "It reminds me of my high school days, so thrilling!"

"I didn't know UA had a dorm system before." I said confused.

At last, Shota finally spoke up. "It didn't, it did however have resting rooms, for when the hero course students got back from their work studies."

"What's that?"

"A work study is when the student gets on-the-field training next to a pro-hero, in fact, the first years might be starting them this year!" Midnight responded excitedly letting out her inner teacher.

" Oh cool! How did you guys do on your work studies?"

At my question the table —or rather the people in it— stiffened, Yamada peeking at Shota from the corner of his eye.

It was silent no one answered the question.

Did I ask something I shouldn't have..?

"You know... the usual. What I really want to know is how you're dealing with Aizawa as your neighbor again?" Midnight's question seemed to melt the ice that my comment brought to the table.

"I have to give him credit, for the time being, he's acting alright." I laughed along Kayama, yet I couldn't shake the feeling that i had unknowingly    hurt Shota with my question.

The rest of the lunch went without him saying a word a staring off into the distance.

There were only about two hours left of school ,when Recovery Girl announced that she would be leaving early to work some shifts in the hospital for the next couple of days. Meaning, that I would be alone and busier than usual.
