I rushed towards the pillar, tears spilling out of my eyes as I ignored my friends protests.

Their voices faded as I got farther and farther away from them, getting closer to the pillar by each second.

But just as I about made it, Macaque appeared, pushing me into a shadow portal he made.

I pushed Macaque off of me. "No! What have you done?"

"Kid, stop! You can't do this!" Macaque looks at me as he gets up.

I turned to the pillar, thinking of Y/n. "I have to do this! Or else Y/n's death will be in vain."

I tried to get past him, but Macaque grabbed a hold of my leg and threw me back.

Macaque stood over me. "This isn't the kind of thing I meant when I told you to choose your own destiny!"

I growled. "You don't understand! If I don't do this, everyone loses! Everything gets destroyed!"

I walked past him, determined to save everyone.

Macaque grabbed my arm, stopping me. "You don't always have to be the hero! It doesn't always have to be you!"

I turned around, perking my arm out of his grip. "This is the only way."

Macaque sighs, giving me a sad look. "What would Y/n think if she saw you trying to basically kill yourself?"

"Don't talk about her..." I clenched my fists.

"Y/n would want you to live!" Macaque tried to get through to me. "This whole sacrifice thing isn't right. She would've wanted you to decide what you think is right, but not like this!"

"You're right."

I gasped as Xiangliu appeared, capturing Macaque, keeping him to the ground. "He can't."

Xiangliu smirked, holding Macaque upside down. "That was quite a trick. That power... who gave it to you? Who'd you make a deal with?"

"A deal...? Macaque asked as growled, getting put right-side up again.

Xiangliu walked past him.

"Ah, it doesn't matter. It's all going to be over soon." He transported us back to the rest of the group.

"Kid!" Monkey King calls out to me.

Xiangliu stood before everyone, still bound to the wall. "The Harbinger knows this was what he was made for, just like how his precious Y/n know what she was made for. That this is the only way to save you all. Are you really going to reject his sacrifice? Are you really going to let Y/n's sacrifice be in vain?"

"MK!" Mei shouted at me. "He obviously wants you to do it, which means it's definitely what you shouldn't do!"

Xiangliu appeared beside Mei, among her gasp. "No. I told you, I get out either way."

Mei tried to bite him, but she missed.

"But I have had ENOUGH of control." Xiangliu statedm "ENOUGH... of watching people put themselves in cages... of... watching them push away the chaos when the chaos is what makes who they are."

"Kid, no!" Monkey King struggled in his binds.

The snake demon walked up to me. "Child, I am not deceiving you. Sacrifice yourself. Don't sacrifice yourself. It is entirely up to you."

"There's gotta be another solution!" Pigsy tried to persuade me.

I walked over to the ledge, looking at the cracking sky. "Look around... the world is ending. I can't just do nothing."
