Y/n's P.O.V
I yawned, sitting criss-cross applesauce on the ground of Shulian Cave on Flower Fruit Mountain, watching MK pounding away a mural while Monkey King just sat back and watched.

And thanks to the hint of MK hammering a mural, I knew exactly what episode this was.

The episode Macaque shows up and pushes MK to his limits.

You're probably wondering why I'm here.

Well, MK dragged me out of bed today when all I was planning to do today was sleep in.

I was planning to sleep in because for the past few days, weeks, I don't know, I have been up non-stop, trying to figure out what to do now that Lady Bone Demon has probably possessed DBK by now.

But being here let's me get to ask Monkey King something.

"You know, when I found out I was going to be trained by the Monkey King, Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, I had no idea that I'd be stuck here hammering walls 12 hours a day. Why am I doing this again?" MK stops hammering, turning to Monkey King.

"Oh, so I can make a nice little breakfast nook. Get some light up in here." Monkey King said casually.

"But I'm meant to be Monkie Kid. Not Construction Boy. How am I supposed to do the hero stuff if I don't know the fighting stuff?" MK says sadly.

"Oh? So you want to know the "fighting stuff," huh? Like this?" Monkey King's eyes glow as he throws the staff, smashing a hole in the wall.

"Huh? Whoa. Yes, exactly like that. I am ready for some awesome." MK said excitedly.

Monkey King laughs. "Look, bud. You can't rush this stuff. You'll get there. You just need practice."

"Come on, Monkey King. It doesn't hurt to show him a little bit of fighting." I spoke up.

"Like Y/n said, it doesn't hurt to learn a little bit of fighting." MK said.

Monkey King groans. "I'm never going to teach you something you don't need to know, okay?

MK huffs in frustration.

"Okay. Now, this priceless, ancient mural is not going to destroy itself. So remember: Step into the strike." Monkey King told him.

Just as MK was about to go back to hammering the wall, then his phone rang.

Assuming how this episode goes, it's most likely Mei calling about a monster attacking the city.

Which is Macaque's Shadow Monster.

"A monster attacking the city? That's terrible. Dang. Guess I got to go do some boring hero stuff instead of this, come on, Y/n." MK turned to me.

"You go ahead, I gotta ask good ole' Monkey King something." I said to him.

"Okay, bye." MK says as he left.

I turned to Monkey King who was eating a bag of peach chips.

Monkey King stops eating, looking at me.

He sighs. "Listen, if you stayed to get a free ride on my cloud, it's a no."

"What? No! What I want to ask is something completely unrelated." I crossed my arms.

"Fine." He tosses his peach chips to the side. "What do you want to ask me?"

"I want you to train me." I stated bluntly.

Monkey King bursts out laughing, making me glare. "I'm sorry, I know MK told me about your healing powers, but training someone not from here is a no-go."
