I took a deep breath, whilst biting my nails. It was one hour until my date with Keegan. I was nervous, not just a little, a lot.

"Yes, I'm putting my dress on, Ash!" I spoke to the phone whilst squeezing my long white laced dress on.

"Ok! Hurry, I'm driving to your house to come pick you up! Ugh, im so happy for you, Tro!"  She replied, literally squealing.

"Thanks, Ash. But, you're really driving now?"

"Troain, we talked about this. I don't get drunk anymore!"

I rolled my eyes, "No! Im talking about the time, you're just under an hour early."

"Well, we could talk...in the car..."

"Talk? We talked for long enough yesterday, Ash."

"That doesn't mean you don't have time for me, I'm saying, Shay is here, she's buzzing about her date!"

"She has a date too?" I was confused, "I thought she was with Bianca."

"Well...the same date...as you..."

My eyes widened and I dropped my necklace that I was about to put on.

"Ash, Ashley, WHAT?"

"Relax! Im just kidding! She doesn't have a date, but she's excited for you."

"Geez, don't fucking do that!" I giggled, "anyway, it's nice of her to care so much."

"Yup, I'm outside your house, you ready?" She announced.
I rushed to put my shoes on.

"Yes, coming out now. BYE MUM!" I shouted as I closed the door behind me and entered the backseats of Ashley's red car.

"Hey!" I said.

"Hi, oh my god, you look amazing!" Shay complimented me.

"Aw, thanks, Shay. You don't look too bad yourself." Ashley said.

"She was talking about me!" I moaned.

"Oh, I-I was?" Shay acted confused.

"Yes, remember?"

"Oh...yeah...right. That."

I rolled my eyes with laughter as Ashley started the car, and it started moving out of the driveway. Ashley picked up more speed on the car, passing by trees and other cars. Shay made sure that her music by Lana Del Ray was on in the car, and me and Ashley hated it.

"Oh god, Shay, please can you turn that off?" I asked in a moaning tone about three songs after it was put on.

"Yeah, please," Ashley started, "I'd rather listen to disco music from the seventies than Lana Del Ray. Her music is all so depressing."

"Hey! I like it! And for some reason sad music makes me happy...I accept it when you put 5 Seconds Of Summer on,  Ash! and when you put on your country music, Tro!" Shay moaned.

I thought about what she said, yes, I may hate when 5sos come on or Lana Del Ray, I'll maybe roll my eyes, but maybe if me and Ash made a effort, even just to pretend to be happy for Shay, maybe that would make things and conversations a lot more interesting between us. But, I just figured out why Shay was R&B dancing to my country music a few days ago.

"You know what, you're right, Shay. We're sorry. Keep your music on..." I apologized.

"Yeah, same, sorry." Ashley rushed, "Oh my god, Tro! This is where your date is! I think I see Keegan over there!" She pointed to the distance.

"Oh, my, god. I don't think I'm ready. Do I look okay?" I panicked.

"You look beautiful, Tro!" Shay smiled, "Now go get him, tiger."

I sniggered and opened the car door.

"We'll be at this restaurant, good luck!" Ashley waved.

"Bye!"

I stumbled over rocks and twigs, to find Keegan on his phone sitting on a concrete slab, facing the river. I guess he didn't hear my (6 inch heels) on mud, which I don't blame him for. I sat on the other piece of concrete, and he turned his beautiful face, and looked into my eyes.

"Oh, hey Troain." He started, turning his phone off and facing his body fully to my direction.

"Hi...Keegan." I replied. This was the most awkward thing ever since Ashley set this up, and me and Keegan didn't even really talk much before that either.

"So, how are your exams going so far? It's a tough kind of season, but my exams finished last week, it's my last year here, possibly." He asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Thanks for asking." I started, smiling, "But yes, great. I passed all of my nat five's and the worst I got on them was a C, and that was for one subject, English."

Keegan's face turned shocked when I told him, "Wow! That's so good! I bet your parents are really proud of you."
