>>Troian's POV<<

"Hey."

Hearing Keegan's voice for the first time in now made a week, made me turn my head to face my back door which he had just entered.
He had his black leather jacket on and black causal jeans as usual. His soft brown hair was quiffed back with gel.

"Hey..." I walked closer to him.

Was he really going to act like nothing had happened? You don't just leave your girlfriend for a week without saying anything at all.

"Where've you been?" I asked, my hands tied against my chest. "I called you, and never got an answer."

He raised one eyebrow, then walked past me to beside the kitchen and set his bag down on the table. "I was visiting the college, wasn't I?"

I frowned, turning to face him. "Why didn't you tell me?"

He sighed. "I had a lot on my plate, oka-"

"No." I moaned. "No. I was busy when I visited my college, but I still had time for you."

He tutted and place his right arm on my left. "Of course I have time for you, Troian."

"You didn't even have enough time to tell me you were leaving for a week."

"I would've! I would've if I'd known that it's lights out at 10pm, Troian!"

I stepped back. Eyeing him. Now my eyes were prickled with tears. "You could've dropped me a text, a call, a postcard! Anything would have been fine. I didn't know where you were. I didn't know if you were okay!"

"Troian, please." He faced the window. "You're overreacting."

"I'm not overreacting!" I shouted, swinging my arms in the air. "I was visiting my college and I expected you to be here when I got back."

"I'm here now."

"I know you are." The tears were now whining to escape, rummaging around my eyes. "But I wish you weren't."

It was silence for a few minutes until Keegan finally said something. "Then why am I here? Hm? Should I just leave? 'Cause it's what you want?"

I didn't say anything, I just didn't look at him.

"You know, Troian, not everything in life goes your way. How you want it to. But face the facts, sometimes, after the hardest climb, you get the best view."

"What exactly are you trying to say here?" The tears started to fade from my eyes because I knew I was stronger than him. He's just a mistake.

"I'm trying to say that sometimes you have to go through a lot to finally get what you want."

"So what do I have to do to get you to leave?"

"Troian." He mumbled. "You can't just do this. I'm your boyfriend. This is petty."

"Tell me the truth."

"I told you, I was visiting my college."

"No you weren't." I looked at him. "I can see it in your eyes, you're lying!"
