Growing Up

>>Troian's POV<<

I woke up, and stretched my arms. I looked at my dorm room. The empty drawers that I hadn't bothered unpacking my things into because I was only going to be here for this day. Anyway, I made my bed up again and decided to wake up my temporary room-mate, Leanne. I walked over to her messy bed. If I get her for a real college room-mate, I will actually stab my eyes out. Ugh. She acts like she's a princess and everyone should bow down to her.

It was then that I looked at the table and saw my political study book wasn't there. I shook Leanne.

"Leanne, wake up!" I moaned.

She flipped her blonde, straight hair in my face and I shrieked away. I sighed, "Oh, for god sake, Leanne. Just get up," I looked at the clock, "It's 9 o'clock and our tour starts at eleven, get up!"

She groaned and mumbled. "I'm up!"

Then she put her head down again.

I moaned. "Leanne! Do you not understand how important this day is?"

I got no reply.

"Right, fine, then," I lifted the phone from her beside table. "I'll just take your phone."

Then, she immediately lifted her head and stood up. "Give me my phone."

"Where's my study book?" I asked, my arms folded and one hand clutching her phone.

"I don't know, give me my phone."

"Well it was there when I fell asleep," I moaned. "Wher-"

It was then that I saw my study book on the floor, half under her bed, with her used ashtray sat on it, along with a half drank glass of water. Or maybe it was vodka. The point was that she'd used my study book as a little coaster for herself.

"Oh, I see." I swiped the ashtray off of my book, and carefully set the water/vodka on her bedside table. "You're using my book to put your used ashtray's and drinks on? This is why I can't handle a room-mate." I stormed over to my bed, wiped any excess ash off of the book and left it on the bed.

I looked at Leanne who rolled her eyes at me. "Just give me my f'ing phone."

"Not until you apologise."

"Fine," She sighed. "I'm sorry for whatever it was that I did wrong." She pouted. "So give me my phone before I slice that boring book in half."

"Um, it's not boring," I stated. "Now tell me you're sorry."

"I literally just did." She looked to the ceiling.

I sighed. "You couldn't even recognise what you did wrong."

"Oh, okay, right. I'm sorry for calling your book about politics boring." She said with a voice that was monotone.

"No, for the other thing!" I pointed to the book.

She looked clueless.

"Too drunk to remember?" I guessed.

"Troelle, this is college, it's meant for partying and getting drunk jesus christ."

I sighed. "First of all, my name is Troian, not 'Troelle'. And second, this is just a tour. And third, college is meant for actually achieving your goals and getting a good l-"

"Okay, that's what you think..." She moaned. "Anyway, can you tell me what I did so I can get some sleep?"

"You can't go back to sleep, we've got a tour in like three hours." I said. "And, if you're that desperate, you used my boo-"

"What? THREE hours?" She interrupted. "That's the time it takes for me get my make-up on." She started pacing across the room. "God, I gotta get ready!"

Then, she walked out of the room. Only to run back in.

"No, wait!" She shouted.

"Jesus- What is it?" I moaned.

"I can't go out to the laundry room looking like this!"

I sighed. "Just shove on anything it doesn't take long."

"No, I'm not going to the laundry room - where people see me, in just anything." She stropped.

"Well, figure it out yourself, I have to get ready too."

"Fine," She moaned. "Oh, and give me my phone."

I sighed and gave her her phone, and she ran out of the room quickly.
