>>Troian's POV<<
I love fresh air, on a sunny day, absolutely no clouds in the sky. I was walking down the street, on the way to The Brew to meet Ashley, Lucy and Shay. I need to work things out with them, I'm exhausted of this, being scared to say anything in front of them, avoiding them, I never used to be like this with them. I hate it now, I need to repair our friendship.
I opened the door of The Brew and smelled coffee immediately. I sat down at a table for four in an isolated corner, nobody else but me had arrived yet. I decided to pull out my notebook and start on that English essay due for after the holidays.
The assignment was to write an essay on something you love or hate, something of your own choice, I read on the sheet of instructions, 'your essay MUST include at least one thousand words, [i.e: if you have ten words per line, count the lines on each page in tens and then calculate how many words you have.) Hand this in to Mr Fitz after the holidays as you will have him as your teacher again next term. !this is worth 20% of your grade!'
I sighed at the one thousand word minimum, who does Mr Fitz think I am? In fourth grade? I am so writing a lot more than that. I tapped my chin, wondering what to write about, I soon decided, friendship. About the impact it has on people, what it can cause, lead to or mean to people.
I had just began writing the title, as I look up and see a lady with long black wavy hair. Under her torquoise apron, which had The Brew's logo on it, she was wearing a white shirt, and black jeans. I liked her green trainers, though. Her hands were clasped together as she started to speak to me.
"Hi there," She greets me, "Are you ready to order?"
"Oh, not yet, I'm waiting for my friends to come." I reply, delivering her a smile.
"Oh, okay," She says, her voice really cheerful, "Give me a shout when your friends are ready to order."
"Okay, thank you."
She soon walks away and I continue writing this, I wondered if I should just type it up on my laptop and make some quick notes now. I decided to go with that.
A few minutes later, I see Shay, Lucy and, oh, Alison. Why was Alison here? Of all people, and where was Ashley?
They spotted me and sat down at the table, Lucy beside me, Alison opposite and Shay beside her.
"Hi..." I spoke awkwardly.
"Uh, hi." Lucy replied.
"Hey." Shay repeats.
"Hiya!" Alison says enthusiastically.
"Where is Ashley?" I ask, closing my notebook.
"Um," Shay speaks, "She just had some, uh, family to hang out with."
Shay was acting mysterious but I decided to not let it bother me. I was disappointed that Ashley wasn't here, she was the one I wanted to talk to, mainly.
"Well, anyway, I called you guys here, well some of you," I glared at Alison, "To apologize..."
Shay scowled and rolled her eyes, "It took you long enough, why didn't you just say that in the first place? Rather than causing all this."
