>>Shay's POV<<
I lay curled up on my bed, hugging my pillow. Tears started rapidly falling silently down my cheek, I squeezed my pillow even tighter. I couldn't bare the thought of losing my beloved friends that I have known all my life, just because of me. It's my fault, Tro will never hang out with me alone, it'll have to be with Ashley or Lucy - I bet I was the reason that she suddenly wanted to go home, the sight of me. I have always been part of the group but never actually felt part of it. They hate me, don't they?
I needed someone to talk to, and I couldn't call them, I was completely alone and I needed someone to just listen to me. I turned on my phone and flicked through my contacts. My eyes studied on the name 'Alison'. I mean, I don't know who she is, I only just met her, but, I don't know if I'd have the confidence to say 'hello' to her, never mind inviting her to my house. Everything about her just seems so perfect. Something different. There's no point even trying any more, she probably doesn't feel the same way. I think we're better off just as friends. For now at least. *winks*. Anyway, my thumb waved over the screen, I was wondering if maybe I should actually call her...
I soon gave up and called her, I could feel my heart beating in my butt. Oh god, if I get this nervous talking on the phone, then I should get therapy. The phone was ringing in my ear and it felt like it was bouncing off of my brain and straight into my stomach creating butterflies. I got a shock when I heard a sudden "hello" coming from the phone. I wiped my eyes, but it wouldn't have mattered, because a new stream of tears would've just overlapped them.
"Hello. I-is this Alison?" I sniffled, nervously, squeezing my own hand.
There was a croak in her voice. "Um, yes. Shay?"
I sniffed, "Yes."
"What's wrong? Are you crying?"
I licked my lips. "Um, I'm sorry. I just need someone to talk to!" I burst into tears.
Oh my god, I'm so fucking embarrassing! Did I just cry in front of her?
"Shay? Are you okay?" She swallowed. "You can talk to me."
"No, I can't."
"Babe, of course you can. You don't have to feel like this."
I kept letting my tears get the best of me. "I just don't have anybody any more and nobody cares at all."
"I know we don't even know each-other, but, I care." She chuckled, "Now, do you want to come to mine and we can talk about boys and watch some movies? It's Friday night."
That made my skin tingle, "we can talk about boys."
I stopped crying, "Yes." I giggled.
"You know where I live, right? 43 Meribale Lane?"
"Of course."
"Now, I want you to clean yourself up and come over, okay?"
"Okay."
"Well, I'll see you soon then." She said.
"Yeah."
"Bye." She hung up the phone.
I closed my eyes and squealed. I wiped my eyes and said goodbye to my mum and headed straight to her house. I could feel the cold air on my bare arms and I didn't care. I was so, so nervous. I took a deep breath as I soon approached her house, I knocked on the door softly. Soon, the door opened, and there stood Alison. She smiled pleasantly at me and she looked so beautiful. She had a dark purple summer dress on and perfect make-up. Her eyes were as blue as the ocean.
"Hi, Shay!" She welcomed me, "Come in, I'll lead you to my room."
I smiled back at her and stood inside the house. "Thank you, for this."
She just kept smiling at me. She lead me to her bedroom. It had pink flowery wallpaper on the walls and a big double bed in the middle of the room.
"Wow, I love your room."
"Ha, thanks. So, why don't we sit down." She said, sitting on her bed, and I copied her, sitting next to her.
"Do you still need to talk?" She smiled, "What's up?"
I sighed, "Well, basically, it's just my friends. I feel like they hate me and it's all my fault that now everyone hates Troain, too. She really doesn't deserve this," I began to cry again, "But, at the same time, she may have just been using me the whole time."
"Shay, why would she use you? and why do your friends hate her?" Alison said comfortingly.
I put my hand on my head, and told her the story from the woods earlier that day.
"Well, I don't understand why your friends would turn on Troain if she's tired...Or why you blame yourself."
"You're right. You don't understand, nobody does." I rubbed my eyes and let out a sob.
Alison pulled me into a hug, and right there, I wanted to stay forever.
"Hun, I think that you should talk to Troain since she is completely alone, too. Probably more than you think you are, okay?" She had her chin resting on my head.
"She's not alone. She has her new boyfriend, to cry to."
We pulled apart. "Shay. You are NOT alone in this. This happens to everyone at some point."
Alison's phone started ringing. It was from an unknown number. She accepted it and put it on loud speaker.
"Hello?" She spoke.
"Hello, is this Alison DiLaurentis?" Says a strange voice.
"Um, yes, who is this?"
"It's Shay Mitchell..."
Me and Alison gave each-other weird looks. Who was pretending to be me?
"Oh, hello, Shay."
"Hi, um, do you wanna go out? I'm so lebanese that I can -"
I pressed the hang up button on the phone. My face turned completely red and I was having struggle breathing and holding back my tears.
"What the hell?" Alison moaned. "Who the fuck was that? Fucking dick."
I gave her a look, "I haven't given anyone your numbe-" Then I realised, I had given Ashley her number so that her and Lucy could prank call her. Oh my god.
"What?" Alison said alert.
I raised my eyebrows. "I gave Ashley and Lucy your number. It must've been them. Oh god. I told you they hate me, they fucking HATE ME!" I shouted, falling face first into a pillow.
Alison rubbed my back. "Let's just forget about this. Do you want to get some sleep?"
I nodded my head and hopped into her bed, and she did too. We lay there for a while and stared into each others eyes for a while. Alison put her hand on my arm, and I glanced at it.
"They don't hate you. It's not your fault." She spoke, she soon removed her hand from my arm and turned around.
I turned, too. But I lay awake.
