»»Troian's POV««
I sipped my coffee as usual at The Brew in the early hours of the morning...Tuesday morning.
That could only mean one thing; my college tour is tomorrow. Yes, I repeat, tomorrow.
My face sunk into my hands.
I had two paths. One that lead to a life of success and many career opportunities, that would then continue me to have a good private life too. Or, stay here until I find another, less good college. But I wouldn't have to leave my friends that I just gained back and my newly found amazing boyfriend - and not to mention my family.
The best college in the country was in New York. Of course, being me, beaches apart. But in reach. I had the money.
ugh, I just didn't know what to do. Stay with love and friendships or go with a perfect life.
I needsupport but, I can't tell anyone. If I talk to Keegan about it he'll just tell me how much I should go but then he'd make me feel guilty.
Maybe I shouldn't go. I sipped my coffee again. Maybe, staying here is the right choice. But again, It could be the other way around. I sighed. This was hopeless.
Then, somebody sat in front of me. I looked up, it was Keegan. He was wearing black jeans, white t-shirt and a leather jacket.
"Oh, hey." I said sounding monotone but smiling at him.
"Hey." He copied my smile.
"So, why are you out so early, mister?"
He giggled. "Well, I was getting up early anyway to take the dog out and do some chores so I don't have to do any later - but I knew you'd be here so I stopped by."
I kept my grin. "Sweet."
"Hey, listen," He sounded serious. All of my attention was taken in by him. "About your college thing." I sighed. "I've been thinking, why don't you just finish high school and then do a two year course in New York?"
I sighed again. "Kee," I looked down. "The letter said that December was the only option since next year they have too many students already being enrolled there - I'd have to wait ages and by that time I might not even get accepted again." I swallowed my coffee. "I have a few hours to make up my mind and I'm stressing."
He groaned. "I wish I could help you."
"Same."
"Well," He said. "Just think, close your eyes." I obeyed him. "Think, what do you want, no, in fact, what do you need most, right now in your life. The perfect job, money anc life or the perfect, friends, boyfriend and family?"
I thought. Deeply. The truth was, and I knew it; I needed my friends and family the most but there will be a time where I don't have them; when I'm completely alone. But, with the job thing - All I really needed in life was money to live off of.
"Keegan." I spoke. "I know I need to
stay. I want to, I do, but there's just so much on offer for me right now, it's ju-"
"Troian," He interrupted. "Tell your parents. They can help you."
--1 hour later--
Myself, Alison for some reason, Ashley, Shay and Lucy had decided to meet up and go to the mall, so now we were only just aboard the bus. We were sat on the upstairs where there are 4 seats divided in twos right at the front; so we got a good view of the road and city sighting in front of us. Lucy was sat on the window seat, me beside her. Shay in the opposite window seat with Alison beside her, and then Ashley was squeezed in between them. I could tell that none of them were comfortable but I was not giving up my seat.
