>>Lucy's POV<<
I'm worried about Ashley. I'm more than worried. I'm terrified for her.
Judging by what she proved yesterday, she's been doing a lot worse than I thought. I mean, I knew she was struggling, and I was doing all but my best to help her then. Maybe if I'd given her a pep talk earlier, she would have felt a ton better. I hold my forehead with my palm. I sigh.
Maybe I should just let this roll off of my chest? I mean, Ashley's strong enough to deal with this by herself, right? Maybe not at this time I suppose. I move a side of my mouth to another side in thought. I'll always be by her side, it's just that I have a lot of my own problems. A lot.
I decide to forget about her for a while, whilst I work on my media homework.
I'm sat on my bed, twirling the pencil in my hand, with an untouched piece of paper in front of me. I sigh and look at the sheet.
I breathe out. "Okay, let's make a start on this..." I whisper to myself.
I read the homework sheet. The first question asked me, "What are the best angles a camera can get to, in order for the shot to be HD and come out top notch perfection?"
I flick through my notes and finally decide on an answer that I write down.
Nine o'clock swings by, and I roll my eyes at the thought of another day wasted of the one and a half week I have left of the school holidays.
But then I remember. I'm not going back to school.
Time passes so much more quickly as you grow up. I haven't even realised just how my childhood has flashed before my eyes.
A knock comes from my bedroom door. I roll my eyes, and stand up. Before I can answer it, the person knocks again. I swing the door open.
Without even looking or bothering to care, I moan, "Yes, I folded up my clothes and put them a-" I look outside my door frame. Nobody was there.
I peep my head out to the hallway, Nobody was there either.
"Mom!" I shout. "Was that you?"
"Was what me?" She says back faintly and I just make out her words.
"The knock on my door, was it you?"
"No, hunny."
"What about Dad?"
"Lucy, he went out to the store! Stop bothering me, I'm trying to work!"
I was officially creeped out. If mom was downstairs, dad was out...
Well it could be Mike. Mike is my brother. That's all that he's got
going for himself.
"Mike!"
I hear no reply. "Mike!" I sigh. Still no reply. "Mom, where's Mike?"
"For god sake, Lucy, he's in the shower!"
Now, I was 100%, 1000%, 1,000,000% officially creeped out.
I step back into my room and shut the door quietly.
Maybe I'm just hearing things.
"Hello...?" Just to make sure.
"Be gone, holy ghost!" I order, shaking a bit.
I shriek as my door opens by itself.
