>>Alison's POV<<
Of course Lucy and Shay were shocked by what Ashley had just 'released' or whatever you want to call it, but I wasn't. Come on, we saw her like that a few weeks ago in the restaurant, we all knew she had problems, different kinds, but I don't get it why she only takes it out on me. As if I'm to blame. All I have done is be there for her and she doesn't even accept it. See, that's the thing with people like her. They get on their hands and knees and beg for help, feeling sorry for themselves and ashamed. But when you actually help them they push them away. It's like not eating for a week and then refusing any food. I just don't get it at all.
And how come I'm the only one to see that Tyler doesn't love her? Like she hasn't heard that one before. Why did she get so offended?
Possibly because she has nobody else to care for her, or, at least she thinks that. You know what? No. She doesn't think that, she knows it. How does she expect people to run after her like cat and mice when all she is doing is rejecting people, pushing them away. She complains about when really it's her own damn fault.
She didn't even have the guts to apologise to me. She was just standing there like a freak with her eyes closed.
Nobody said one single word or even breathed loudly, they were afraid. Well, I can't say I blame them, Ashley's like an angry lion in an open cage.
Well, somebody had to say something.
"Ashley, we knew this," All eyes looked at me, including Ashley's which had now opened. "You already said, back in the res-"
She gave me a look of anger mixed with annoyance. "I can't believe this," She interrupted, now she was raising her voice. "I can't believe this!"
Jesus christ woman, we heard, no need to repeat yourself.
"Can't believe what? That Tyler doesn't love you? For god sakes Ashley open your damn eyes he's using you!" I replied to her, using hand gestures a lot. It's a habit.
Ashley looked really angry now. Her face was now flaming red and I could almost see the veins popping out of her neck. But then, she settled. And then she smiled, which was pretty creepy if you ask me.
"You still can't see it? Can you, Ali?" Ashley replied, squinting her eyes at me.
"You're the one who can't see it, Tyler doesn't love you! How many times will I have to repeat myself? Just for you to catch up."
"Fine."Ashley folded her arms. "Prove it."
Oh, you want the truth? (4 u soph) "Tyler would n e v e r, ever, under any circumstances date someone like you."
"What are you talking about? So you know him now?"
"I mean, just compare yourself to the other girls. They're so much more, I don't know, they're just so much more of something that you don't have. You're too mature for Tyler, and he doesn-"
"Oh, of course!" Ashley laughed for a minute and then went back to her annoyed face. "Of course, typical Alison. Always comparing. The only way you can feel good about something is knowing that it's better than someone else's, Ali. I don't care if another girl is prettier than me, I'm already aware I don't care! Okay? I don't care. So just stop trying to be better than everyone else and if you'd listened the first time I had said this then I wouldn't have had to repeat myself!"
"What happened to being nice to her, Ali?" Shay asked me, her eyes staring up at me, glowing in the sunlight.
"I'm just looking out for her!"
Honestly, I don't know who that bitch thinks she is, trying to turn me on Shay, are we? We'll see about that.
"Oh, so looking out for me is pointing out everything bad about me and telling me my boyfriend doesn't love me. How do you think that makes me feel?" Ashley moaned, her glossy eyes filling up.
For god sake, she's such a sensitive drama queen.
"How would you feel if I told you Shay didn't love you?" She continued. "Or Lucy, If I told you Ezra doesn't love you." There was another silence. "It wouldn't feel nice, would it?"
"I would take it on as advice." I performed, standing with my arms crossed and one foot in front of the other.
"As if." Ashley sneered. "All you do is put people dow-"
"Get over it."
