THE MAN WHO CAN'T BE MOVED

I'm not broke - I'm just a broken-hearted man
I know it makes no sense but what else can I do?
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you?

Yes Jeron's effort brought them the Championship last year and the boy debuted as the Rookie of the Year in the professional league, but Jeron worries his Coach.

The way he trains, the way he works in practices, the way he plays during their actual games, he gives inhuman effort, that can only be equated to punishing oneself. He has that nagging feeling that his new star baller, might be broken, although he has no idea what can break a promising young man like Jeron.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Jeron found himself in the Coach's office. The Coach eyes him intently, yung parang pinag-aaralan sya, pilit syang binabasa.

You have to go home, you won't be part of today's training - the coach said directly and casually.

Po? Ba-bakit po? May mali po ba akong nagawa? - Panic is evident in Jeron's voice. Basketball is the only drug that makes his days more bearable, he cannot afford to lose it.

You are pushing yourself too far bata, I appreciate your effort but you are starting to get overboard, you might get sick or worst injured - professional na pagpapaliwanag ng coach.

Kaya ng isip pero baka ang katawan mo bumibigay na, do you know the average time an athlete trains?

A professional athlete trains on average for 5-6 hours, 6 days a week, your training averages on 8 hours, 7 days a week. - the coach put an emphasis on Jeron's time on training

Noong bago ka hinahayaan lang kita kala ko gusto mo lang magpa-impressed sa akin o kaya naman you just want to desperately prove something, that you have a goal. Pero habang tumatagal habang pinapanood kita during trainings, oh boy you exhaust me and scare me, I see you get tired but instead of stopping and getting a break, you would just push yourself further. As your coach it is my responsibility to stop you from hurting yourself, you are my most promising player, I cannot afford to lose you because of an injury, so from now on I will closely monitor your training time and the physicals that has to be done on you.

Do you understand what I am saying boy? - ma-awtoridad na tanong ng coach kay Jeron.

Opo - halos pabulong na sagot ng binata.

Good now go home and rest
