Chapter 16 - Meeting the guys

CHAPTER 16


Sang pov


Before we head down to the car, I stop the guys and ask "I wasn't sure how to dress to go visit your friends. Do I look okay?" I'm wearing a baby blue button down blouse tucked into a black skirt that reaches to mid thigh and black flats.

They both look me up and down, lingering on my legs and tell me that I look great. I blush at the compliments. Quickly, I run into my apartment and throw some money into my new wallet, put it in my purse and drape it over my arm.

We head down to the parking lot and walk towards a big black Jeep. North hops in the drivers' seat and tell me to get in the passengers seat. I say "No, Silas has longer legs and should sit up front." I climb in the back before Silas can protest.

Neither guy looks too happy with me, but I don't care. I don't need to coddled, just because I don't have dangling parts. Hahaha, they're going to have to deal with the new me, I bravely think.

North turns on the radio and rock music blares out of the speakers. He asks me "Is rock okay with you? Buckle up baby!" " I nod my head and he turns back around to concentrate on driving.

Not only is North a scary guy, but he's also a scary driver. I close my eyes and try to concentrate on the music. Maybe we'll get there in one piece. "Um, North, can you please slow down a little bit? I would like to make it to your friend's house in one piece."

"Relax Sang baby, I'm making good time." Silas looks back at me and gives me a big smile. I close my eyes again and try to breath through my fear.

We've been driving for about 15 minutes and I open my eyes again to see that we're driving down a familiar street, Sunnyvale Court.

I know my face is starting to pale as we get closer to my old house. "What are we doing here?" I'm feeling a little lightheaded and my body's starting to sweat.

"We're at Kota's house" Silas says when he notices that something's wrong with me. North's pulling into the driveway of the house across the street from my parents. I feel sweat start to bead on my upper lip.

"Is your friend tall with brown hair and glasses?" I ask in a shaky voice. They both turn around and look at me with suspicion in their eyes. But they seem to notice that I've paled and am shaking slightly.

"Sang, what's wrong?" Silas asks in a gentle voice. I shudder a little and say "My parents live in the house across the street." My eyes drop to my hands in my lap and I feel tears start to gather in my eyes.

"Do you still want to meet our friends today or do you want to go home?" North asks me, his eyes telling me that he understands if I want to leave. I take a deep breath for courage and say "Can we go in please?"

Both guys smile at me and we climb out of the Jeep. I notice that there are other cars nearby, including a silver BMW and a dark sedan in the garage.

Silas holds my hand as North leads us to the Ranch style house. We walk in the front door, head down a hallway and into a blue carpeted living room. The house is cute, but neat and tidy.

I see 5 boys sitting on a couch and two chairs. And each one's absolutely gorgeous. They're very different looking, but appear to be close friends. Everyone stops talking as we walk in.

The boy with the brown hair and glasses, jumps up and heads over to me. He stops in front of me and says "I've seen you before, you live across the street."

I look down at the floor and feel my eyes start to water again. I take a deep breath, look into his bright green eyes and softly say "I don't live there anymore, can we please not talk about it?"

The boy in front of me shoots a look at Silas and North and they have a silent conversation. I wish I knew how they do that, maybe I can get them to teach me that trick.

Once they finish their silent conversation, the boys turn back to me. The boy in front of me says, "My name is Kota Lee and it's very nice to meet you. Let me introduce you to everyone and we can decide what to do, is that okay with you?"

I smile at him "Hi Kota, I'm Sang Sorenson. It's very nice to meet you and I look forward to meeting all of your friends." I looked over at the other boys in the room and they all smile back at me.

"Sitting on the couch is Nathan Griffin and Victor Morgan and sitting in the chair next to the couch is Luke Taylor and next to him is Gabriel Coleman" Kota says pointing out each boy as he announces their name.

I smile shyly and say "Hi guys, I'm Sang. What would you like to do today?"
