Chapter 22 - Confused and busted!

CHAPTER 22


Kota pov


A few minutes after Sang, Silas, and North left, Gabe runs into the room looking pale and shaken. "Gabe, what's wrong? I ask him in a calm voice.

He just stares ahead, like he's in shock. I snap my fingers in front of his face to get his attention and he looks at me. Again, I ask him "Gabe, what's wrong?"

"Kota, I just saw something and I'm not sure I saw what I think I saw. I snuck over to the window to get one last look at Sang as they left. And one minutes she was there and the next she was gone" he says in an almost frightened tone.

"What do you mean she was there and then she was gone?" I ask in a more forceful tone. Gabe better not be playing a joke or he's going to be grounded for a week.

"Kota, I swear on my dead mothers' soul that I'm not making this up. She disappeared right in front of me. Then I looked over and she was hiding behind Vic's car. I don't know how she did it" he whines to me. He looks so confused and bewildered that I know he thinks he's telling the truth.

I reach into my pocket and pull out my phone. I set up a group chat and text Silas and North first.

Kota: Where are you guys at?

Silas: We're on our way to the mission now. We just dropped off Sang. Wait until I tell you guys what she bought tonight! :D

North: Is there a problem? Si shut the hell up!

Kota: What happened outside when you left my house?

North: We were walking to the car and Sangs asshole father was outside. She ran and hid behind Vic's' car. I almost thought she disappeared on me again.

Silas: She was right behind us and then she was gone. North started to freak out and I looked over at Vic's car and there she was hiding behind the bumper.

Kota: Did either of you see her run to Vic's car?

North: What the fuck does that mean Kota?

Silas: No, I did not see her run to the car. Why?

Kota: Gabe said he saw something and I want confirmation from you, before I take this further.

North: What the fuck did he see that we didn't?

Luke: Why's Gabe acting so weird?

Gabe: Fuck you Luke, I'm fine.

Nathan: What did I miss?

Victor: What's this about Sang and my car?

Mr. B: Who is Sang and what did Mr. Coleman think he saw? Mr. Taylor be nice to Mr. Korba.

Dr Green: Is she cute? ;)

Kota: Silas and North, when will your mission be completed?

Silas: We should be done in about 3 hours.

Mr. B: Family meeting at Mr. Lee's house at 10:00pm sharp.


Damn, I didn't mean to include Mr. Blackbourne and Dr. Green in that group text. Well, we can straighten this out at 10:00. Is it even possible that Gabe saw what he thought he saw? Man, I hope this doesn't mess things up with Sang.
