A burning sensation yielded itself on my eyelids, prompting them to open. In front of me was Clark, comfortable in his seat. "It's best you get more rest. We have hours before we land and negotiations are made. Who knows the next time you'll get to sleep like this again?" my hand was cuffed to the leather-bound seat as he laid across from me.
Champagne bubbled in his glass as the two men slept in peace. Tony hadn't reached me, and that terrified me all around. That left me with two options.
Kill or be killed.
"Could I have a glass?" I request knowing there wasn't much time left, "Of Champagne if I'm about to suffer for the end of days. Let me have a glass of champagne," he looks to the empty bottle beside him and sighs, standing up.
However, my feet brushed against his tiny mistake. As he heads into the main cabin, I steal a pin hidden from my ear, frantically plunging it into the lock with my teeth. As it clicks, my hand is freed, and my foot releases the gun below me.
My heart races as it steadies in my hands. I'd never held a gun before, sure I'd seen how people operate it. However, I was never the one firing it off.
Gaining access to it I hold it tight in my hands as the other two shut up while I swiftly cuff them together, "You should've found better hobbies," I say.
Blood covered my hands from my head, and I reached for the landing gear off to the side while keeping my gun up and steady. Within moments, the door opens, and my gun clicks, halting him.
"Oh..." he mumbled, "That's cute you think you can escape. But even with me dead... the pilot is paid, and he knows you're a special delivery," his hand moves to try and snake the gun for me but it fires at his foot chasing his to move back clutching it.
"You bitch!" He lunges at me, and the second shot rips through his chest, and the presence of a larger man steps out from the cockpit. I fire three more shots to his head, taking him down. As I turn, my leg is grabbed, and I'm dragged down to the floor by Clark. The gun is aimed at my heart this time as we stare at each other closely.
"What's the problem... can't handle a few bullets?" Taunting him, he attempts to hit my face with the gun. It fires upwards towards the ceiling as I attempt to free it from his hand, and my leg kicks back his face as he struggles to pin down my body.
Another shot is fired to his shoulder, but not by me. As I looked over, the younger boy sat shaken up, holding the gun in the air. Tossing it to me, I fire it at Clark's head, watching the life leave his body.
The plane dives, causing our bodies to lean to the side as oxygen masks are dropped. My body flings itself to the door, and as the plane steadies once more, I open it.
I had no knowledge of how to use parachutes, and the terrain below me didn't seem promising. Woods and loose suburbs could be seen below the clouds. As the cockpit opened, the pilot frantically stepped out to see me on the edge.
This was my last chance, and so I took it. My feet no longer cratered the rim of the door as I stepped off. Jumping from the plane, the air below me caught me at a speed I'd never known. I held on for dear life as I wrapped my hand around the red release. I watched as the ground grew closer to me as I plummeted forward, and in fear, I pulled for the parachute.
