Kanjuro went back to the prostate position, "Please! I'm begging you, Luffy-dono!"
Raizou joined in as well, "I'm begging you too!"
Usopp then got an idea, "Oh! Yes! Who can ask for more?! Those samurai and the minks! They'll be a big help for us too!"
"We were gonna fight Kaido sooner or later! We gotta jump at this chance!" Franky stated.
"They even have a ninja, Luffy!" Chopper said excitedly.
The Strawhats were silent as they waited for their captain's response.
"Please, help us!" Kin'emon cried again.
After a couple of seconds, Luffy find opened his mouth to speak.
"I refuse."
On with Chapter 63:
3RD PERSON POV
"W-What?!" Everyone was shocked at Luffy's response.
"I refuse!" he repeated.
"Why?! We've been traveling together!" Usopp was the first to ask his captain before the rest of thes Straw Hats joined in questioning whilst arguing amongst each other.
It was revealed not long after that in actual fact, Luffy just wanted Momo to be the one who ask for the favour himself, and not just be a figurehead while letting the retainers ask for him, and to be a leader as a Kozuki.
Law walked from (Y/n)'s side to walk up Luffy, who was kneeling in front of a crying Momo.
"Didn't you have to ask me first?" he asked with slight anger.
"Huh?" Luffy was genuinely confused, "It's cool, right?"
"Yeah, but-" Law didn't even manage to complete his sentence before Luffy turned back his attention to Momo. He sighed.
(Y/n) of course had witnessed the distress of her captain and joined his side, leaning against his arm. "Well, captain. At least our journey won't be boring, right?" she giggled when she had received her lover's unamused reaction. She felt quite giggly at the moment after all, especially after finding a red poneglyph.
"All right! Guys, gather up!"
Everyone's attention moved towards Luffy.
"Our objective is.. to kick Emperor Kaido's butt! We're the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance!" the name was quite a handful to say.
"Our enemy is Kaido!"
"Inuarashi, Nekomamushi!"
"Momo, Kin'emon, Kanjuro, and the ninja!"
"Tra-o and (Y/n) too!"
"We all join our hands to take down Kaido! That's what we allied for! Guys! Don't ever bow your heads! Nor get down on your knees! An alliance means.. Friendship!" "No!" The Heart Pirates duo sweatdropped with confusion.
"We're already allies but there's one condition." "Well, isn't that something you should've told us before we agreed to join forces?" Raizou questioned but Kin'emon decided to ask calmly, "What is the condition?"
"One of our crew isn't with us now." Luffy said, referring to Sanji who was brought to Whole Cake Island.
Inuarashi was confused as this was the first time he had heard of the matter, and Nami explained what happened while he was resting off-shift.
