Recap:
"No.. we swerved from the course again." Nami said, "Port..."
And not even a second later, footsteps were heard from the inside of one of the rooms and out came Carrot.
.....Carrot?!
"Okay! Leave it to me!" the rabbit mink was doing flips in the air with excitement.
"Look! She's full of energy..." it took everyone a few seconds to realize that Carrot was on the ship with them...when she was not supposed to....
"Wow! I'm really right on the sea! This ship looks so heavy but it's floating and moving forward!"
"Wh-Why are you here?!"
On with Chapter 67:
3RD PERSON POV
After getting garchu-'d by Carrot. Pedro tried to tell Carrot to go back.
"What?! Don't do that! Wanda will be mad at me!" Carrot was begging while hanging onto Pedro's back, slowly sliding down and eventually fell onto the deck.
"Are you trying to cause trouble to those who saved us, Carrot?!" Pedro scolded and Carrot cried, "I just wanted to go on an adventure at sea alone with Luffy and the others even if only once!"
"We're going to sneak into the Emperor's headquarters! We're not playing!"
"Please! I'll do anything - take me with you!" Carrot continued pleading, "I didn't wanna cause you trouble so I brought..." she paused before taking off her backpack and placing it on the deck, "Look!"
And true to her name, she brought carrot-based items.
"Lunch!" - it was 3 huge carrots.
"Juice!" - carrot juice.
"A snack!" - another carrot.
"An extra shirt!" - although it wasn't another carrot, it had a small carrot logo on the upper left chest area.
"How long will they last?" Pekoms slid himself over to the group.
"Like half a day! The sea is vast, isn't it?!"
"Yeah, it is." (Y/n) said from seat on the mast, hugging her staff, "That's why it will take several days to reach Big Mom's land." she grinned a bit at the Mink's naivety.
Carrot paused, stared at (Y/n) to process her words.
"EH?! It'll take several days to get to Big Mom's island?!" she screamed. "We even if we go straight?! I can't believe it's so big and wide!"
A second later, she was sparkling with curiosity and wonder, "The sea is like a wonderland! This will be my first sleepover!" at least someone was positive besides the captain.
"A wonderland? It's not even an island."
"Oh, well. You're here now and it can't be helped." Luffy said while eating one of Carrot's snacks. "Can you protect yourself?" he asked.
Carrot turned from looking at the sea and to the Strawhat, "Yes! Thank you! I'll be alright..." she paused when she realized Luffy was eating her carrot, "Why are you eating my carrot?!" she jumped onto him and chomped on his rubber chest aggressively.
"Pat her head, Luffy!" Nami shouted.
Luffy managed to calm the Mink down and he was released from her grip.
"That was close! You almost killed me! You're strong!"
"Okay, you can have the carrot."
Meanwhile, Chopper was staring in shock. "Luffy was almost defeated!" his eyes were wide and pupils were shrunk. (Y/n) who was sitting beside him raised an eyebrow, "Isn't he made of rubber?"
Pedro inhaled from his cigarette, "Well, she is quite a fighter."
Brook then pointed out, "Pedro-san, when did you get up there? You really like heights." Pedro was indeed up on one of the masts.
Luffy, still lying on the floor, exclaimed. "Somebody, make something!"
No one responded, either they didn't want to or they didn't know how to. Our witch was the former.
Nami stepped up, "All right! I'll do it, so watch the sea, okay?" but as she walked away, she added, "Each of you must pay me 5000 berries." and Luffy, Brook, and Chopper panicked. "All of our allowance will be gone!"
(Y/n) sweatdropped looking at the scene, "Is this what Law felt when he had to travel with them?"
...
Luffy burned the kitchen.
Revolutionary's HQ was found.
We got caught in a storm.
And now it's snowing.
"All right! The storm has passed! And we covered up the roof that was blown off! I saved the food I made so eat up!" Luffy smiled proudly as he brought out the pot of.... food..?
"Yay! We get to eat! We're hungry!" Brook, Carrot, and Chopper started crying.
"Oh, do you like it?! It's my original curry!"
"Luffy, we can't eat uncooked rice!"
"What's that bitter purplish thing?"
"It's full of fish bones."
"So much jam!"
"Something's slimy and light blue.."
"What did we do to deserve this?"
(Y/n) got up from her seat on the mast and went closer to the group before looking inside the pot, ".......The curry... It's... original alright." that's all she had to comment.
Nami turned towards her with tears running down her face and a spoon held out, "(Y/n)... do you want some?" "I'll pass." she denied immediately.
Luffy was annoyed, "How could you guys be so rude after I've taken the trouble to cook this!"
He took the spoon Nami held out and fed it to (Y/n), before feeding himself.
"Yuck!"
"See?!"
"How can I eat this?!"
"Don't knock it over!"
"How dare you waste food! Sanji-san would be mad if he heard about this!"
(Y/n) had her hand cover her mouth to not immediately spill her guts out. It took her a few seconds for her stomach to calm down and when it did, she took a fresh intake of air. "I've eaten bad things in my life but this.... This is the worst.." she said, thinking about the times she had to survive as a child alone in the grand line.
While the Strawhats were still causing a ruckus, the Witch decided ot step up, "I'll cook!" causing everyone to stop and stare in hope. "Show me your pantry."
Nami led her to the storage and... "We had tons of food and it's all gone!" all that was left inside were empty boxes, clothes, and some dust.
"Yeah, I messed up several times so I used it all!"
They were in disbelief, "What?! That was a week's worth of food for all of us!" Nami cried
"I thought you were hungry!" Luffy laughed before getting punched on the head by the navigator. "It's not funny!"
(Y/n) let out a sigh.
"Hey, I'm starving.."
"Sanji-san! Help us!"
