"He's right." (Y/n) finally spoke up, and all their surprised expressions were turned to her, "She's Big Mom's daughter. What if she tells her mother about us?"
"Yeah but she's scared of her mother too!" Nami argued, but Pedro stood his ground, "That's why she'll tell her!"
"How would you know?!" Carrot joined Nami's side, "How would you know she wouldn't?" (Y/n) rebutted, joining Pedro's side.
"Um.." Pudding awkward tried to get everyone's attention, "I won't tell Mama about Mugiwara-san and the rest of you!"
Although the rest were reassured, Pedro and (Y/n) were still suspicious of her.
"I'm Big Mom's daughter, so I know it's hard to believe me. But... I am.. scared.. of Mama, but I've made up my mind! If you all came to take back Sanji-san, I'll help you!"
On with Chapter 74:
3RD PERSON POV
"Are you sure?" Nami asked, hesitant to believe someone would go against their Emperor of a mother.
"Yes, because mama and I are two different people." Pudding confirmed her stance.
"Let me garchu one more time!" Carrot was about to lunge at Pudding but got held back by Pedro by the back of her shirt. "How can you help us?" said the latter.
Pudding stayed silent, she was either unsure or realized she didn't exactly have a plan, but she clenched her first and gave everyone a confident look. "I think I can still let go of my feelings towards Sanji-san!"
She then took out a piece of paper, ink, and a feather, before starting to write and draw something.
"People in Totto Land... give their blessings to my marriage. So do the members of the Vinsmoke family." she explained while writing it down, "Mama looks forward to the wedding cake. None of us can disobey mama's order so I knew I couldn't marry for love, but I've been dreaming ever since I was a child." she started blushing, "Wonder what my husband would be like. And then, Sanji-san came along."
"I was surprised because he was such a wonderful man. But he actually said to me in the end, "I want to marry you, but I can't do it.". "Tears slowly came out from her eyes but she was still smiling, " "I want to go back to my friends." " she finished quoting Sanji before wiping her tears.
Only the Straw Hats were shocked at what she said, "What?! Sanji rejected a girl?!" they exclaimed in unison, and Pudding smiled sheepishly.
"But.. it's good to know.. I knew he wanted to continue the adventure!" Luffy had tears and snot running down his face.
Pudding continued writing, having calmed down. "It wasn't him who wanted to be back, because you all actually came here to take him back at the risk of your lives. Even if this is mama's decision, it'd be hard for me to stay with someone who didn't want to get married." She finally finished writing and placed the feather down, "And most of all, I know you all care about Sanji-san so much and I can't take him away from you."
Brook started crying, feeling touched at Pudding's words.
"He said he wanted to go back to his friends too. Then all I can do for him is to help with that, right?"
