So this is not Hiccstrid but rather it's Rufflout because to me it should be them because I really love Fishlegs and Heather sm. Snotlout can't be with Minden because she is a wingmaiden and she can't leave that for Snotlout and Snotlout can't live with Minden because boys aren't allowed there.

Let me know if you guys want more of this or Fishlegs and Heather action?

I'll add some small Hiccstrid in this one shot.

Hiccup's POV

The sky was painted in soft shades of orange and pink as the sun dipped behind the horizon. Astrid rested her head on my shoulder, her fingers gently intertwining with mine. The moment was peaceful—just the two of us watching the sunset in silence, the warmth of her presence anchoring me in a way nothing else could.

I glanced at her, and she smiled softly, her blue eyes reflecting the golden light. I leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "You always make sunsets better," I whispered.

She snuggled a little closer. "You’re such a sap," she teased, but I caught the smile tugging at her lips.

Then we heard a loud thud behind us.

We both turned around to see Hookfang landing roughly on the ground with Snotlout dismounting in a hurry. He looked… anxious? Or maybe confused? His expression was hard to read—like he was battling something inside.

"Hey, uh… sorry to interrupt," Snotlout said, his voice surprisingly serious, laced with something close to worry. "Can I talk to you both?"

Astrid and I exchanged a glance.

"Well, go ahead," I said.

"Yeah—how’d you even find us?" Astrid added, raising an eyebrow.

We both chuckled at the timing and spoke in unison. Then I kissed Astrid’s cheek, and she laughed softly, resting her hand on my chest. Snotlout gave us a small smile and sat down—not too close, but close enough to feel like he wanted to be near.

He stared at the sun for a moment, frowning slightly. Then, out of nowhere, he asked, "How do you do it, Hiccup?"

I blinked. "Do what?"

He looked at me, then at Astrid, and then back at the sky.

"How do you show your feelings to Astrid? How are you able to be so… open with her? Affectionate? Like, you don’t even hesitate. You just know what to do. How did you do it? How did you let yourself… feel?"

I was stunned. So was Astrid, judging by the way she sat up straighter. Snotlout had never said anything like this before.

Was Snotlout… in love?

It was honestly something I hadn’t considered. He was always the loud, arrogant one—the show-off. But now that I really thought about it, he had changed over time. The bravado was still there, but beneath it, I’d seen glimpses of who he really was. A guy trying to live up to expectations. A guy with a good heart.

"Well," I started, rubbing the back of my neck, "It wasn’t easy. It took a lot of courage to be honest about how I felt. I’ve loved Astrid since I was fifteen. Not just because she’s beautiful—which she is," I added with a wink, earning a playful punch on the arm and a red-faced smile from her, "but because she’s strong, confident, loyal… and yeah, a bit clingy sometimes, which I actually really love."

Astrid chuckled beside me, and I held her hand a little tighter.

Snotlout nodded slowly. "But weren’t you scared? That she wouldn’t feel the same?"
