Third POV

It was now nighttime on the Dragons’ Edge. The older gang and younger gang, along with Heather, were all in the Clubhouse. It was a pretty big dinner considering there were 13 people, and the dragons needed food too. Heather and both Astrids helped her with the food while the others chatted around. There may have been some shouts here and there, but everyone was having a good time.

Both Hiccups were discussing how to get the younger gangs back to their original timeline. It was very dangerous for the young gangs to know the future, as it could change both present times.

Older Hiccup kept glancing at older Astrid as she and her younger self laughed about what Heather said. He terribly missed having her in his arms. They were supposed to have a night flight tonight, but considering the situation right now, it may not be the best time.

"Okay, so I think it's better if we go back to where all of us appeared. Maybe the mysterious person left something like a clue or—" The younger Hiccup stopped talking when he saw the older Hiccup staring at the older Astrid. He looked over at them, and he now understood why he was staring.

I know someday, we’ll fly together
Trust me, my love, now and forever
I’ll give you space to be who you are~

For the older Hiccup, he was staring at his present Astrid, while the younger Hiccup stared at his present Astrid. Both of them had that loving gaze. To the younger Hiccup, he didn't know the older versions were already together.

The young Hiccup never had the courage to confess his love towards Astrid. Why would he? He was nothing without Toothless. Hiccup bet that Astrid only looked at him as a best friend, nothing more than that. He was perfectly fine admiring her, and he would always value those moments when it was just him and her.

Young Hiccup stared at the young Astrid as she laughed and had that genuine smile that made his heart warm. She just had that sparkle in her eyes whenever she was happy. He just wished one day he would be the reason she was smiling, but that's just a dream young Hiccup would ever see.

"Our feelings never stopped, am I right?" Young Hiccup said but had not taken his eyes off the young Astrid, who was now teasing the older Heather about a boy she liked, to which older Hiccup already knew.

Older Hiccup sighed and smiled. "It never did. How could we not? She's perfect—everything about her radiates that warmth that we both love. We both knew we already loved her. Why stop?"

Younger Hiccup finally looked at the older Hiccup and raised a brow.

"Even if she doesn't like us back? Though I'm not surprised, much younger us did promise ourselves that once we fell in love, we wouldn't stop," Younger Hiccup said, and the older version of him nodded.

"I still kept that promise. We did have those situations where I badly wanted to confess it, but there was something holding me back."

"I wanted it to be perfect, and it really was when I did it," The older Hiccup thought.

Then he grinned. He could still remember the time when he and Astrid kissed—that's when he knew that he and Astrid were going to be forever.

The older version of Hiccup looked at his young self. "Don't let anyone stop you from what you love, even if you are scared and afraid or some don't support you. Do what your heart wants to do."

The older Hiccup smiled at him, then looked at his Astrid. The young Hiccup could feel all of his nervousness melt away. He turned to look at his present Astrid, and he smiled softly at her.

While the older Heather and Astrid laughed about an old memory where Astrid was distracted during an axe throwing, the young Astrid took a side glance at the Hiccups and found her present Hiccup looking at her with a smile.
