" Cara Alexander Larvine , I insist you go to the place I told you tonight or I might set your ass on fire this time . " yup , that's my mum .

If you are expecting my mother will be like the others , polite , caring and stuff , save it . My mother is like no other . Well , that ryhmes .

She is very motivated when it's come to set me up on the blind date . No , cut that . She is very pushy to be honest . After my father died two year ago , she has become this phyco .

" Are you listening to me ? Oh god . "

" Yes mom , I'm still here . " I waved my hand in the air like she could see me .

" Just checking . The last time I checked , you were having a shower when I try to set you up on the blind date . " I rolled my eyes .

" It because he is Johnny , the guy that live infront of our house . " technically her house because I don't live with her anymore .

Imagine a guy wearing braces . The worst thing is , he couldn't fully shut his mouth properly and end up drooling all over the place .

" You should give him a chance . He is a nice boy but no , you have to set his car on fire . You were lucky he didn't press a charge . " so what ? Spend time in jail probably much better things to do than fangirling over hot boys around .

" Let the past stay in the past . No point to brings that up . Plus , it was an accident . I didn't know that his car couldn't pump the gas while the engine is still on . " I did it all the time and my baby truck is still alive till today .

" That was like a very common knowledge for god sake . " she almost yelled on the other line .

" You are really good at giving me a heart attack . " here we go again .

" Mom , it's just a panic attack , your heart are fine . " I take a ciggarate from the pack , light it up .

" Did you light up the smoke ? I thought you stopped ? "

" I said I will try and it take some times . Chill out . " it's not like I'm obsess with it anyway .

" Just go to the restaurant downtown tonight . He is one of Paul's friend so don't screw this up . " okay , now you wants to bring Paul in this blind date activities .

Paul is like my far , far away relative . His mother is the second cousin to my late father's sister in law . Well , you get the point .

" Are you trying to set me up with an old man ? " Paul is not that old but he is thirty something . His friend must be around his age while I'm still 22 .

" What ? No . The man is around your age . " but that won't change anything . I will ruin this blind date .

" I just want you to be happy Cara . Brad has found the love of his life while you are so difficult to find a boyfriend . "

" That's the thing mom . Boy is mean to be a friend , not to cuddle as a couple . " I teased her . I know she will freak out .

" What are you , a lesbian ? "

" Maybe . " I could imagine her eyes almost popped out from the socket .

" Oh my god , that's it . I'm going to make you straight as a pole again . "

" Mom , I'm just kidding . "

" Well , you better be . If you turn out like Letty , I will stick .. "

" There is no need to insult Letty okay mom . She is nice . " one reasons why my mom doesn't like Letty as my friends . It's because she is lesbian .

She is my childhood friends . My mother is quite close to her but when she came out , admitting that she is a lesbian , my mother never allowed me to be friends with her .

I meet her again when I need to get away from my father's death and since then , we keep in touch . In fact , I'm living with her right now but don't tell my mom about it or she will loose it .

" Fine . I need some fresh air after talking to you . It's tiring me out . "

" Okay mom , bye . " I hang up , not waiting for her reply as I toss the phone on the couch .

" Mother - daughter bonding again ? " Letty came out of nowhere , holding a warm liquid in a mug with her hand .

" If you can count her forcing me on another date then yeah . " I reply with sarcasm .

" You need to understand her . She wants the good for you . " this is Letty . No matter how worst you treat her , she always will think from the positive side .

" Can't she see that I'm fine this way ? If I want to settle down then I will . But not now . " she smiled , plooping down besides me .

" So , another date . Do you have any plans to scare the poor gentleman off ? " I shake my head .

" Sadly , no . I run out of ideas already . " plus she will kill me if she find out that I will try anything .

" If you really wants to get off this blind date , go and see him . "

" What a perfect plan . That's gonna help me so much . " I reply with sarcasm .

" Then makes him understand that you are off limits . " I stare at her .

" What do you mean by off limits ? "

" Make he thinks that he couldn't have a chance with you . Maybe he thinks that you are not interested in men and then they will go away . " she reply casually .

" Make he thinks that I'm lesbian ? But I'm not , no offence . " Letty shrugged .

" Not taken seriously but that is a good idea . " something popped into my mind .

" Letty ? "

" Yes ? "

" Would you be the honor of pretending to be my girlfriend ? " I smirk up . This way , we will both win . I will make sure that he keeps this as a secret from my mom and my mom will think that he is not interested .

" Pleasure is all mine . " however you are , you are not going to have date like you think you are .
