Author's POV

Scene: BTS House — Balcony (Evening)

The sun was beginning to lower, painting the sky in soft strokes of orange and lavender. The balcony doors were open, and a light breeze slipped through the curtains. Most of the boys were still inside — music playing low, conversation drifting.

Jungkook leaned on the railing outside, a bottle of water in one hand, the other tucked into the pocket of his sweatshirt. He hadn't said much since the teasing earlier. His eyes were on the sky, but his mind was elsewhere entirely.

Footsteps padded up behind him.

"You always come out here when your head's full," Namjoon said softly.

Jungkook smiled faintly but didn't turn.
"You always follow me when you know I won't talk."

Namjoon chuckled and stepped beside him, mirroring his posture.
"Sometimes silence is enough. But... I'm not here to drag anything out of you."

Jungkook stayed quiet for a moment. Then:

"It's weird," he said, voice low.
"How one person can make everything feel so... loud and quiet at the same time."

Namjoon nodded slowly.
"It's not weird. It's real."

Jungkook glanced at him now.
"You know?"

Namjoon offered a small smile.
"I don't know. But I can guess. Your energy's different. Softer. Like someone lit a candle inside you."

Jungkook looked away again, eyes flickering with something warm and uncertain.

"I told her I wasn't walking away," he said after a beat.
"And I meant it. But part of me... I don't know. What if I'm not enough for something real like this?"

Namjoon was quiet for a long moment.

Then he said,

"You don't have to be enough, Jungkook. You just have to show up enough. Every day. For her. For yourself. That's what real love is. Not perfection. Just presence."

Jungkook exhaled deeply, something loosening in his chest.

"It felt like more than a kiss," he admitted.

Namjoon gave him a look of quiet affirmation.
"Then treat it like more."

Jungkook finally smiled — really smiled — for the first time that day.

They stood there in silence again. This time, not because they had no words, but because the ones that had already been spoken were enough.

Scene: BTS House — Rooftop with Taehyung & Yoongi

The rooftop was quiet, lit by the glow of city lights and the moon above. Taehyung was sitting on the edge of a low bench, sketchbook open beside him but untouched. He was plucking gently at the strings of an old acoustic guitar, lost in thought more than sound.

Yoongi stepped out with two warm cans of coffee, tossing one toward Taehyung, who caught it with a small smile.

"Didn't know anyone was up here," Yoongi said, settling next to him.

"Didn't expect anyone to come looking," Taehyung replied softly.

Yoongi gave him a sidelong glance.
"You always disappear when you feel too much. I know the signs."

Taehyung didn't argue. He just looked at the sky.
"It's terrifying," he said suddenly.
"How easily she sees through me. How naturally she fits into places I didn't know were empty."
