Hayoung's POV

Her legs trembled as she stumbled out of the corridor, heart pounding against her ribs. Each word she had overheard echoed mercilessly in her ears.

"Kill her."
"Erase her."

She pressed her palm against her mouth, trying to muffle the sob threatening to break free. How could he... how could my boss fall this low? To... to order Nayoung's death?

Her hands shook as she gripped the handle of the building's glass door and pushed it open. The rush of cool air outside struck her face, but it didn't calm her. If anything, it only made the urgency worse.

I can't waste time. I need to warn them. I need to protect her.

Her heels clicked furiously against the pavement as she half-ran, half-stumbled toward her car. Sliding inside, she fumbled with the keys, nearly dropping them twice before finally starting the engine. Her vision blurred with tears, but she blinked hard and drove out of the parking lot.

Her thoughts screamed over each other.
He's dangerous. More dangerous than I ever imagined. If Nayoung's alone... if she doesn't know...

She grabbed her phone with one hand, trying to dial Jungkook's number.

—Beep. Beep. The call didn't connect.

"No, no, no... please, please pick up!" she whispered, redialing again, her knuckles white against the steering wheel.

Meanwhile – Taehyung, Jungkook, Nayoung's POV

In Jungkook's living room, the atmosphere was heavy. None of them touched the tea that sat between them.

Taehyung finally broke the silence.
"We should tell her. About... that night. About what her boss tried to do."

Jungkook's jaw tightened. "And destroy her completely? Do you even realize what it would do to her? She'd blame herself. She'd never forgive herself." His fingers curled into fists, his eyes dark with unspoken rage.

Nayoung exhaled slowly, her arms crossed as if she were holding herself together. "I understand both of you. But hiding it forever—will that protect her? Or will it hurt her more when she eventually finds out on her own?"

Silence again. Only the ticking clock dared to fill the gap.

Just then, Nayoung's phone buzzed loudly on the table. She picked it up, frowning at the screen.

"Hello? Yes—." Her voice dropped into a more formal tone. After a moment, she sighed. "Understood. I'll be there shortly."

Ending the call, she turned to the two men. "That was my office. There's an urgent meeting with my foreign clients. I have to go. It's serious."

Taehyung frowned. "Alone?"

She nodded firmly. "I'll be fine. I'll just go home, change, and head to the office. Don't worry."

Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged uneasy glances but didn't stop her.

Hayoung's POV (while driving)

The car swerved slightly as she tried Jungkook's number again. This time, it rang once before dropping. She bit down on her lip so hard it almost bled.

"Come on, come on! Pick up!" Her voice cracked.

She tried Taehyung's number next. The line was busy. She tried again. Failed. Her pulse raced faster.

Her grip on the wheel tightened until her fingers ached. She pressed harder on the accelerator, tears spilling freely down her cheeks.
