Author's POV
Scene 1: The Near-Miss — Almost Caught
It was supposed to be safe.
Just a quiet corner café in a back alley near Hannam-dong. Masks on. Hats down. Separate entrances. Coordinated times.
Jungkook had arrived first, pretending to take a call by the window.
Hayoung entered ten minutes later, heading straight for the seat across from him like a stranger sitting near another stranger.
She didn't look at him.
He barely glanced up.
It was part of the game they'd mastered by now.
But then — flash.
One shutter sound. Then another.
A girl with a phone outside the glass. She wasn't aiming at them. Just clicking photos for her social media. But...
Hayoung shifted her arm instinctively to block her face. Jungkook slid his hoodie higher over his eyes and mumbled, "Act like you're texting. We'll get up and leave separately."
"Wait—" she whispered.
Too late. A second group entered the café. One fan had BTS pins on her backpack.
"Jungkook?" she gasped, eyes widening.
Hayoung instantly stood and dropped her phone.
Jungkook, heart thudding, grabbed it — her cover.
"Miss, you dropped—" he said, passing it back to her as if they'd never met.
Then he turned to the girl in the doorway and smiled just enough.
"No, sorry. Not me." He lowered his voice. "But thanks."
He slipped past and out the door.
Hayoung counted ten seconds. Then followed.
They met again two alleys away. Her hand found his without thinking.
"That was too close," she whispered, breathless.
"I know," he said, gripping tighter.
"Let's disappear. Just for a few days."
Scene 2: The Private Trip — "No Cameras, No Crowds"
Two days later, they vanished.
No official schedule. No GPS on work phones. Just one black van, trusted managers, and the promise of 72 hours of silence.
A hidden house deep in Jeju Island. No neighbors. No signal. Just cliffs, ocean air, wind in the trees.
Taehyung & Nayoung's Arrival
She stepped out of the van in oversized sunglasses and a scarf, squinting into the sunlight. Taehyung took her hand as if the world didn't exist.
"This is real?" she asked.
"This is the most real we've had in months," he replied.
Later, they took a walk along the rocky beach. Sandals off, sea foam curling around their toes. She picked up shells. He sketched them in his notebook.
At night, they sat under string lights. A guitar rested near Taehyung's knee, untouched.
"What would you do if we didn't have to hide?" Nayoung asked.
"I'd post you," he said instantly.
"With no caption. Just your photo. That would say enough."
Jungkook & Hayoung's Hideaway
Their room had floor-to-ceiling windows. Jungkook barely left the couch. Hayoung brought him hot tea and played old music through her phone speaker.
They danced in socks on wooden floors.
They cooked without measuring anything.
They talked without filtering a single thought.
