📍Scene: Rohan's Subtle Move | Private Shoot
Meeting Room – Late Evening

The rooftop of the studio was set for a private pre-shoot meeting. Rohan had personally arranged it, claiming it would give them a peaceful moment to discuss upcoming plans. The sunset dyed the sky gold and purple — a deliberate choice, as he always remembered Hayoung liked "golden hour" photos.

She arrived slightly breathless, hair tied in a casual ponytail, holding a file in one hand.
"I thought we'd just talk in the office?" she asked, puzzled but smiling.
"This felt more personal," Rohan said with a warm, professional grin. "You deserve more than a desk when we're planning your next international campaign."

They sat. A small table between them, set with sparkling water, light snacks, and documents about her modeling shoots.

Rohan kept his tone light, but laced with things that made Hayoung pause — never quite inappropriate, but close enough that her brain flickered with a question she didn't dare frame.

"You've changed a lot since coming to Korea," he said softly, eyes holding hers a second too long.
"In a good way," he quickly added, with a chuckle. "You shine more. I just hope... this place doesn't steal you from us completely."

Hayoung blinked.
"No, India is still home. This is just a phase — part of the career path."
She gave a soft laugh, brushing it off.

"Is that all it is?" he asked, lowering his voice. **"A phase?"

Hayoung hesitated. There was something almost wistful in his voice.

But then he leaned forward with his usual manager smile. "Just teasing. Don't mind me — I'm just overprotective of my stars."

Hayoung laughed too, a bit uneasy, but chalked it up to Rohan being...Rohan. She'd known him for years. If he ever crossed a line, he'd know better.

Wouldn't he?

📍Meanwhile: Nayoung's Apartment — That Same Night

Nayoung stood near the window, arms crossed, as Taehyung leaned on the opposite counter, watching her in silence.

"She won't listen anymore," Nayoung said finally. "I tried again today. She told me to stop being paranoid. That I've let my 'overthinking' ruin my judgement."

Taehyung nodded slowly.
"She's not seeing it yet. You've warned her, and now her wall's up. He's working the long game — that's why he scares me."

Nayoung's jaw clenched. "I know him. I've seen men like this before. It's not loud. It's quiet. Like poison."

A long silence fell between them. Then Taehyung pushed off the counter, walking toward her.

"Then we don't fight her," he said. "We outsmart him."

Nayoung looked up.
"You mean...?"

"We gather proof. We keep our eyes open. And we stay close enough to Hayoung so that when he does step over the line... we're ready."

Nayoung took a shaky breath, then nodded.

"Okay. Let's play the long game too."

📍Back at the Studio

As Hayoung gathered her files, Rohan stood and moved closer — not touching, just close enough that she could feel the heat of presence.

"You've always trusted me, right?" he asked, voice low.
"Of course," she said, confused by the question.

He smiled, stepping back.
**"Good. I hope you never stop."

She didn't notice his eyes linger on her just a second longer.

She didn't see him smile as she walked away — like a man who still believed the game was in his hands.

Hayoung's POV

I sat by the window of my room, looking out at the quiet Seoul skyline. My phone buzzed with another sweet message from Rohan.
"Hope your shoot went well today. Proud of you, always."
I smiled faintly. He had always been supportive, hadn't he? A little over-caring lately, sure, but it felt... genuine. He'd mentored me for years. He wasn't like other industry men. Maybe Nayoung was just overthinking it. I sighed.
Nayoung hadn't returned my texts. Not since our argument.
"I just don't get it," I muttered. "She's never liked him... but why now, when everything's finally going right?"
And Jungkook... he'd been quieter too. Maybe he felt the tension. Maybe i was imagining it all. Maybe I'm just tired.
I hugged my knees.
"I wish everyone would stop doubting the people I trust. I know what I'm doing... don't I?"

Jungkook's POV

I leaned against the back of the couch, phone in hand, thumb hovering over Hayoung's name.
I hadn't texted her again. I was giving her space.
"But something's... off," i thought.
That guy — her boss — showing up like that, acting so surprised, the way his eyes darted between Hayoung in my shirt and me standing there half-dressed. He hadn't said anything, but the tension had crackled like fire.
I had brushed it off, laughed even.
But it stayed in my chest like a knot.
Now every time Hayoung mentioned Rohan, i flinched.
"What if I'm just being possessive?"
"What if I'm not?"
I didn't want to be the jealous boyfriend.
But i also couldn't shake the way Rohan looked at her.
"He's not just a boss. He wants something."
I didn't have proof. Just instinct.
And right now, Hayoung wasn't listening.

Nayoung's POV

I paced my bedroom.
I hadn't spoken to Hayoung in three days.
Three.
Not after our fight. Not after Hayoung basically called me paranoid.
"He's just being nice."
"You're overreacting."
I had held back so much, and it hurt.
"Why can't she see what I see?"
I remembered the way Rohan smiled — too perfectly. The way he hovered. Controlled. Praised Hayoung in public but always lingered in private.
I had known men like him.
But Hayoung wouldn't listen. Not yet.
So now... i had to find another way.
I grabbed my phone.
"Taehyung," i typed. "I need your help. But we need to be careful. I think this is bigger than we thought."

Taehyung's POV

I read Nayoung's message twice, my fingers pausing mid-paintstroke on my sketchpad.
I could feel it too — the fracture.
Between Hayoung and Nayoung. Between Jungkook and my own peace of mind.
I'd never met Rohan face-to-face, but everything Nayoung said painted a picture that made my skin crawl.
Still... we had no proof.
"If we move too fast, Hayoung will shut down."
I tapped my pen against my knee.
I couldn't confront Hayoung. Not yet.
But maybe... if we watched carefully. Kept notes.
"Catch the shadow before it turns into a storm."
I messaged back:

"Let's do this right. Quietly. Watch everything. We'll be her shield without her knowing."
