Scene: One Week Later – Nayoung's Apartment
Silence has never felt so loud.

Nayoung stood in the kitchen, the kettle clicking off behind her. She stared blankly at the steam, unsure why her chest tightened with every passing day. It had been a week since the fight. One week since Hayoung stormed out. A week of no calls, no texts — and worse — no "I miss yous."

The knock at the door startled her.

She wasn't expecting anyone.

When she opened it, her heart dropped.
Hayoung.

Hair slightly disheveled. Wearing an oversized hoodie. Holding two takeout cups of coffee and a paper bag between trembling hands.

"...Truce?" Hayoung said softly, a tiny smile tugging at her lips, though her eyes didn't shine like they used to.

Nayoung didn't respond. She moved aside slowly, letting her in without a word.

They sat on opposite sides of the room, two friends now separated by more than space. Hayoung placed the coffee and bag down on the table, her fingers playing with the hem of her sleeve.

"I've missed this," she said finally. "Missed you."

Nayoung's voice came after a pause, cool but not cruel. "A week ago, you didn't seem to."

Hayoung sighed. "Don't do that."

"What? Be honest?"

"No," Hayoung said, sharper now. "Twist my words. Guilt-trip me."

Nayoung crossed her arms. "I'm not guilt-tripping you. You walked out. You cut the line between us."

"I didn't cut anything!" Hayoung stood now, emotion rising. "I was overwhelmed. I came to you for support and you practically accused me of being delusional."

Nayoung stood too, her voice rising with frustration. "Because you won't see it! You won't even let yourself consider that your boss might be manipulating you. You keep defending him like he's incapable of anything wrong."

"Because he's not!" Hayoung cried. "Rohan's been there for me since the beginning. He's supported me, believed in me, helped me grow into who I am!"

Nayoung stepped closer, pain in her voice. "And that's exactly why he knows how to get close to you. That's why it's dangerous, Hayoung. Because you trust him so much, you won't even recognize when he crosses a line."

Hayoung's face twisted — a blend of betrayal and disbelief.

"So what?" she said bitterly. "You think I'm weak? Stupid? So emotionally needy I can't tell when someone's treating me like a possession?"

"No!" Nayoung's voice cracked. "I think you're too good-hearted for your own damn safety."

The room was still.

Hayoung stared at her, breathing hard. "He's not like that. He's not."

Nayoung's voice was quieter now. "You keep saying that. But you haven't once asked yourself why he keeps showing up unannounced. Why he always needs to 'talk privately.' Why he treats you like he owns your time."

Hayoung took a step back, shaking her head. "This is exactly why I didn't want to come. You don't trust me. You don't trust my judgment."

"I do," Nayoung said, her voice small. "But I don't trust him."

Hayoung grabbed her bag.

"That says everything, doesn't it?" she whispered. "You think he's the villain, so I must be the fool."
